In 1994, founder Richard Heinichen installed a whole-house rain collection system on his property and fell in love with this pure resource. Soon he created Tank Town—a local system to provide rainwater to his neighbors in Austin, Texas—which grew into Richard's Rainwater, the first company in the U.S. to receive licensing to bottle and distribute rainwater.
