Why You’ll Love It

Fried pork rinds might be the last thing you’d think are acceptable on a gluten-free or Paleo diet. But, they’re totally acceptable if they’re Kettle-Cooked Chicarrones from 4505 Meats. The San Francisco-based company has a commitment to sustainable production and uses every part of animal in its line of products, including these chicarrones, which are made by frying pork skins in lard. 4505 Meats works exclusively with small farmers and ranchers that raise animals humanely, and takes pride in creating products of the highest flavor and quality. Using a kettle cooking method also results in the light and crispy texture of these pork skins, which are then lightly dusted with ground chili, salt, and palm sugar.

Reviews For Kettle Cooked Chicharrones (Fried Pork Rinds)

Based on 7 Reviews

Amazing texture and flavor

These are delicious. Texture is the best I have ever experienced in a pork rind. Flavor is also very nice. The smell is less than most pork rinds. Excellent product. I don't even like pork rinds, except for a very few select companies and these are my new favorite. Please get the other flavors!

So good

Okay, you have to get over the odd smell when you open it. Not sure if that is all pork rinds or just this brand. I love that these are slightly sweet, you got get a little of that with this savory snack. I order 4 at a time. Wish they stocked all of the flavors and I'm excited for them to carry the EPIC brand of pork rinds.

Very Good Rinds

These were pretty good in general. I was relatively pleased with them. They have a very interesting "fatty" finish that is satisfying.

The only issue I had actually was that the sweet sugar taste conflicted with the salty/spicy flavor that I like in my foods. If they had a version without any sugar they would be perfect.

Love!

Absolutely loved these! I really wish the bad was bigger, but the little hint of chili pepper was such a nice little kick. I didn't find the chili spicy at all, just a nice smoky flavor and really added to the quality of the chicharrone itself. Yum!

chicharrones

Delicious snacks from a great source . My only complaint is the bag is too small . Even at Thrive prices these are pricey.

Didn't know they'd be chili

Don't get me wrong, the small bag did not survive the night, but there's nothing in the description here to indicate these pork rinds would be chili flavored. They were good, but spicier than I expected or wanted.

Small but declious!

They are what they say they are - crispy clouds of delciousness! They use a little sugar that gives it a touch of underlying sweetness to complement the savory flavors. Crunchy and melts in your mouth at the same time. Just wish the bag were bigger!
