The bag will last a long time and make many batches of pudding,you can add chocolate powder,there are recapies on the bag it's a natural thickener for soups and anything that needs thickining I love it

These tapioca pearls are very high quality, I may never buy the minute brand again. When cooked it is very creamy and has a delightful texture.
I have always loved tapioca pudding, but gave it up long ago when I became lactose intolerant. But using almond milk, and maple syrup and dried cranberries instead of sugar, I made a mildly sweet dessert that was nutritious, paleo, and a wonderful reminder of my childhood love for tapioca.

Bob's red Mill Tapioca rocks!
I made a batch of tapioca pudding today according to the directions on the package. It was a pity to boil raw goat milk at $12 a 1/2 gal so I used some pasteurized.
I added to the recipe at the end some nutmeg, freshly ground ginger root, and a very ripe organic sliced banana. To half the lot I stirred in cocoa/carob powder. I put in very little sugar, using some Sucanat, and some Coconut sugar from THRIVE.
It was beyond delicious - even better than my mother used to make! Best of all it fits into a liquid diet after for people who are full extraction of all teeth. I would like to add this recipe to a book I am writing for those who also need a diet of pureed food, which includes babies and some elderly folk.

WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED TAPIOCA PUDDING TO TASTE LIKE!
I used these for only one thing and that's making tapioca pudding! I love the instant tapioca you can buy in the grocery store, so I decided to try this. The process takes a bit longer as you have to soak the tapioca pearls in water, but then BAM! The flavors come together in a fantastic way and the consistency is perfect! I was happily surprised and couldn't be happier!
I'm not sure what else this flour is used for, but I bought it to make tapioca pudding, which was one of my favorites when I was a kid.
There are instant mixes out there, but they're full of artificial ingredients, and this is natural. I use organic sweetener to keep the pudding as healthy as possible, and for those who are lactose intolerant, I've found that unsweetened almond milk is a fantastic substitute.

I've started baking a whole lot more lately, and I've been tired of paying a lot of money for pre-bought tapioca, so I thought I'd give this a try. It's surprisingly easy to do! It requires a bit of extra ingredients than buying it store-bought, but it tastes so much better. It tastes so fresh and fluffy, and it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was. I have to keep more ingredients on-hand than just buying pre-made from the store, but it really seems worth it.

Easy Tapioca Pudding
I really trust Bob's Red Mill. I have bought many of their products over the years. One that I keep around is the small pearl tapioca. I was spending close to $6 a bag on it at our local whole food store, so when I found it here on Thrive for almost half that, I was super excited. I use Thrive for many of my go to products for their great prices now.
This tapioca is easy to use and tastes great. It is a great gluten free, paleo snack. I have liked tapioca ever since I did a report on Papua New Guinea in high school and had to make a native dish (or equivalent) and found that they eat Cus Cus which is just like our tapioca pudding. It is great having a brand I trust and love and be able to get it at a great price. It makes eating healthy so much easier.
