History of Love Beets

Husband and wife team Guy and Katherine Shropshire created Love Beets. The Shropshire family is known for growing salad vegetables in the U.K., and the couple decided to purchase a small beet factory in order to share their family’s beets with the public. Experimenting with new recipes, they brought their marinated baby beets to the 2010 Fancy Food Show in New York City and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Soon, the duo was expanding their operations across the ocean, selling their beet products in both the U.K. and the U.S. In 2016, the company opened a new state-of-the-art production facility in Rochester, New York, and began sourcing beets from local organic farms.

Love Beets Company Mission

Love Beets was born out of the Shropshires' desire to spread their love of beets to those around them. Having realized that beets weren’t exactly considered the most “hip” food, the couple now creates various beet-based recipes and markets them to people of all ages. Rochester was chosen as the location of their new facility due to upstate New York being a fertile ground for beet farming. Love Beets is committed to growing only the highest-quality beets, and this includes using the right soil and environment to forgo the use of chemical farming aids.
