Marquis de Talandier
Not far from Bordeaux, France, is the Gironde estuary, where the Dordogne and Garonne Rivers meet. There, a small farm measuring just 19 acres grows some of the most exciting wines in one of France's premier winemaking regions - and it's all done organically.
For more than two decades, this has been the story of Marquis de Talandier.
The History of Marquis de Talandier
Winemaker Lionel Lorente has been passionate about cultivation for many years, and in the 1990s bought a tiny, 2-acre estate near his grandmother's home where he could pursue his hobby on weekends.
That all changed in 1999, when he bought an additional 7 acres from his neighbors and began to grow grapes full-time. Now, the property covers about 19 acres and grows grapes atop both clay and limestone soil to create unique organic wines you'll love.
Marquis de Talandier Company Mission
This family-owned winery is all about growing grapes and making wines both sustainably and organically. Based in France's Côtes de Bourg region, home to some of the nation's most famous wine producers, it has the pedigree and vision to make great-tasting wines the natural way.
