The History of SunButter
When the founders of SunButter realized the potential for peanut-free sunflower butter, they acted on it.
Partnering with the USDA in 2001 to promote allergen-free alternatives to peanut butter, it didn’t take long for SunButter to become the leading sunflower butter brand. Every batch starts with the sunflower seed - simple, delicious and grown in the heart of confection sunflower county in the U.S. SunButter is homegrown and homemade.
Plus, these sunflower seeds are grown in a region of the country where peanuts are not - entirely eliminating the risk of cross-contamination. The risk is further reduced when you account for the fact that it’s processed in a facility dedicated only to sunflower butter, which eliminates the top eight food allergens - peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, wheat, fish, and crustacean shellfish.
