Reviews For Connecticut Cottage Chicken Noodle Soup Mix
Based on 13 Reviews
This is a decent soup. Some people say it doesn't have much flavor but to save money and ramp up the flavor, I made my own chicken broth and put in that chicken used for the broth in the soup. You could do this with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving too!
I'm actually one who makes more things from scratch rather than buying "mixes." But I got this to try and this is absolutely amazing. So delicious. And the combination of herbs/seasonings they use would be really hard to put together myself so in this case it's very worthwhile to get this pre-mixed product. I didn't even make it with chicken. I just cooked it and enjoyed it as is. It is an absolultely delicious broth mix. Will buy again and I look forward to trying their other products!!!
Good if you're in a super hurry
I prefer to make my own and I thought this would help things along but the taste is just not there for me. Even when I'm using my homemade bone broth and grilled turkey.
Obviously, homemade is better, but when you're in a rush and the family is clamoring for dinner, this is a pretty good option.
Needs heavily seasoned
This soup needs a lot of seasoning to have flavor.
A great soup mix, very flavorful!

20 mins done delicious!
I am only learning to cook due to lifestyle changes. I actually was able to make this quickly and it was delicious. Simply cook your chicken PPP it in with some broth and voila tastes like homemade chicken noodle soup made by my grandmother!! So good! Not spicy. But tasty.
Another good soup from Frontier!
Noodles weren't soggy. Taste is great!
As I reviewed on the other varieties I had bought, this line of soups is a huge disappointment because it is very incomplete. You have to add all sorts of things one would think are part of a 'soup mix'.
This is the best of the 5 I had bought. Here, you only need to add 6 cups of chicken broth and 3 cups of cooked chicken breast. I wonder why there is no broth mix part of the soup.? How can it and the other Frontier Soup mixes be something for camping, as suggested? Very little seasoning - you have that in the 6 cups of your own stock and who is bringing stock when going camping? No, for the money, this is a flop.
I add chicken broth instead of water and then add chicken and let it simmer in the crock while I'm at work. When I get home it's all set to feed the family. Easy as well...soup! Such a great mix!

It couldn't get any easier to make soup! Just add chicken (or tofu) and water and you're good to go in just a few short minutes! It tastes delicious and is way better than the canned stuff you can buy.
