\n This was the first tallow product I ever purchased, so when the smell and flavor were a bit strong I just figured that I didn't care for tallow very much. I tried a different brand and the flavor difference was very noticeable. I found out that I do like tallow, just not this brand of tallow. I also found this one to be more expensive than better flavored competitors. <\/p>\n

\n I like alternating the healthy fats (coconut, butter, ghee, lard, tallow, duck fat) in cooking and appreciate those with higher smoke points at times. I did find out that tallow won't keep forever on the pantry shelf. I got a whiff of my 3- or 4-yo jar that got shunted to the back of the shelf and overlooked - you will definitely know you've hung onto it too long when you recognize the sharp rancidity. Before tossing it, I emailed fatworks to be sure that jar had way overextended its shelf life, and they concurred it should be tossed. Quick reply=good, responsive company. <\/p>\n

\n I made a body butter with this, adding olive oil and coconut oil plus lemon essential oil to mask the hamburger smell. It whipped up like vanilla frosting and I love it. Leaves a protective barrier on the skin but is not greasy. My hands and feet are so soft. I like the quality of Fatworks and will order again. \n This was my first time trying tallow. I had heard my mom talk about how French fries used to be fried in this when she was growing up. It is different. The smell is a little offensive so be ready. I tried it with meat and the flavor was great. I tried it this morning with eggs and it was to strong. I'm happy with the product and will purchase again. \n was a bit curious as to how it would taste after reading mixed reviews online about tallow as cooking fat. but let me assure you, tallow is just about the best discovery for me so far in 2015. it has a natural meaty smell to it and it literally gives everything you cook a hint of that "fries fresh off the fryer" smell!!! what an awesome cooking oil for paleo\/natural\/healthy lifestyle! <\/p>\n
