\n As a Brazilian I can say that this is an okay cheese bread mix. It\u2019s basically manioc (same as tapioca or cassava) starch and salt, you have to add all the other ingredients for it to become a real p\u00e3o de queijo. The first time I added some Parmesan cheese and the bread was a little bit too sweet. The second time I added some cheddar and it turned out pretty authentic, made me feel home again (although you wouldn\u2019t use cheddar in a Brazilian recipe). All in all, it\u2019s too expensive for what you get, if you consider you have to add everything but the starch to a normal cheese bread recipe. <\/p>\n

\n I was really excited about these. Used a cup of sharp cheddar... but they came out so-so at best. Quite chewy (as another reviewer described). Not sure if I baked them wrong either (the instructions were pretty simple, so I doubt it), but they hardened VERY quickly. Like within minutes. Very strange. \n I love this bread! When I first made it, I liked it enough to make it again. After a few times I started kneading it a bit longer, the results were SO worth it! I'm not talking about a lot of work - just kneading until it is smooth, as the directions say. Not more than a few minutes, really, but the results were excellent. It is even better toasted! Great for an egg and bacon sandwich. I sometimes add a little cayenne pepper to the mix for an extra kick. I totally agree with the directions that sharp cheese works best. Love this stuff! Oh yes, my husband, who is NOT gluten free, also prefers this to his own bread. <\/p>\n

\n I was hoping these would come out similar to the biscuits I had years ago at a Red Lobster, unfortunately they were nothing like that. They are hard to mix (very sticky) and they didn't get very big after I threw them into the oven. Also they were almost tasteless...I added in the cheese like it suggested on the directions and I could barely taste it. They were very hard on the outside while airy, soft and chewy on the inside. I don't think I will buy these again just based on how difficult I found it to get the dough combined and them being fairly tasteless. <\/p>\n

\n I'm not a baker, but these cheesy buns were super easy to make and the ingredients are very "clean". I used cheddar cheese but I'll next try shredded Parmesan. They're not traditionally made with herbs but I'll try using rosemary next time for extra kick. After making these I tried a "from scratch" recipe I found online and they turned out like pancakes. I think I'll stick with this foolproof mix! <\/p>\n
