Can go climbing and hiking all day now

This is the best because you can leave it in for 12 hours. I originally got it for a climbing trip where there was no bathroom around for a whole day. It takes several tries to get used to it, but stick with it and keep trying because it will eventually be great. it only leaks if it's not in right, so readjust if that happens to you. you gotta get personal with yourself to get it in and out. I also love that it reduces my landfill waste of tampons and pads. I don't always bring it traveling because you need to wash it with clean water and it's too gross to wash in hostel bathrooms with people around.

Changed my life!

This is a game changer. I swear I have less period pain when I use this compared to a tampon. It's easier to use than I thought though there is a learning curve. I am a heavy bleeder and only need to change 3 times a day. Plus it reduces waste!

Love my Diva Cup!

The diva cup is amazing! I've been using the diva cup for over a decade and really appreciate having a reusable option for managing my monthly flow. Its especially wonderful for swimming.... no more soggy tampons! Highly recommended.

Love the cup!!

I switched over from tampons (gasp) to this a few years ago on a friend's recommendation. I am SO glad I tried it, I will never go back to tampons again! It can be tricky to get it sealed until you get the hang of it, and I use pantiliners in my first few days just in case. Not having to carry around a stash of tampons is really freeing!

Very happy with my Diva Cup

I've been using a Diva cup for the past 5 years, at least. It takes a cycle or two to get used to, but it's so worth it once you do. On my heavy flow days, and overnight, I typically like to wear back-up (I use menstrual underwear), but that's more for peace of mind than absolute necessity. Cost effective, eco-friendly. Nothing to complain about. I recommend it to all my lady friends!

Life changing!

Using a menstrual cup is life changing! Not only does it reduce waste and save money, it also has changed my relationship with my body and my attitude toward menstruation. Seeing menstruation in a silicone cup rather than getting nasty on a pad or tampon is beautiful and organic. Love this product. Responsible and empowering.

Game changer

I wish I used this sooner. It does take some practice to get it placed just right so it doesn’t leak. I also had trouble with the folding methods recommended on the instructions. I couldn’t get them to open. I suggest googling all the folding types and find the best one that works for you. I use the “7 fold”.

Man, I wish I had joined this train a long time ago. I tried the diva cup after seeing internet ads. I was nervous at first to try, but I’m so glad I did. You can’t tell that the cup is even in place so long as you insert properly. The only annoying part is cleaning it out. I will never go back to tampons, I’m sold for life!

I don't have to leak anymore?!?! What is this magic??? I was literally shocked on my first day wearing this. I seriously thought, "maybe I didn't actually start this morning and just had some spotting..." NOPE!! I am super heavy for the first three days (like 6-8 super tampons a day + pads, and sometimes bleeding around the pad and onto my undies - TMI??) and I haven't leaked once! When I dumped it for the first time, I was shocked at how much was in it! Never ever using tampons again. No more ruined undies! YIPEE! -hannah

AMAZING after 24 hour "learning" curve!

I bought this a few weeks ago, committed to making the switch from tampons (to save money!) and for overall better healthy living. I'm 31 but have never given birth and this model 1 is working perfectly. The first day, I wore it too long and I think it overflowed OR I didn't get a good seal when inserting. However, I tried the the other folding technique, the "U" shape fold to insert and I can now get a better seal, I can hear it when it unfolds right after insertion. I also purchased the Diva Wash to keep it clean. I slept all last night without any leaks or issues, and have worked out with it without any issues. It's super comfortable, no strings in the way, and I love that I can also go pee and not have empty out the cup, whereas with tampons I felt I always had to change my tampon after using the restroom (super wasteful). Definitely recommend the Diva Cup to anyone who is looking to save money and live a more healthy lifestyle!

Yes there is a bit of a learning curve... But getting off tampons and onto the cup has been truly life changing! Read some articles on how to use it, or I believe DivaCup has a FAQ/ forum on their site. Eco friendly, budget friendly, healthy, and once you get it down so easy and effective!

What a game changer

I am never going back to other methods! This has changed my life so much. There is a bit of a learning curve to it but after 3 cycles you will be an expert. For those saying they couldn't get it out with the stem, you still need to release the suction instead of just trying to pull completely by stem, so squeeze a bit first on the base and then gently pull.

One size does NOT fit all

The first time I put this thing in was a comedic tragedy. Then came taking it out. Absolutely nothing about this is easy, but I will say that pouring the blood out was definitely fascinating and overall it has been a learning experience. But I will not be using it again because the process of insertion/ removal is painful and time consuming. Also felt like it restricted my bowel movements, and during menstruation that can be disastrous...

Did not live up to rave reviews

This product would not come out after it was inserted. I had to have assistance removing it. The stem does not allow you to grip and pull out easily. No matter how firmly I gripped the stem, it would not come loose. I followed all instructions for use and could not remove this product on my own. I am hoping for a refund.

Life saver

Menstrual cups are the future. One purchase and you're set for a year or so. Aside from my first heavy day, I only have to empty once a day. So much more convenient than tampons, plus I feel safe sleeping with it or leaving it all day, knowing I'm not poisoning my body. Oh, and zero waste. Seriously can't go wrong.

Totally Worth It

It took me a couple of cycles to place it so that I felt confident it wouldn't leak, but since then it's been nothing but amazing. It's so comfortable I can't feel it and I actually have less cramps since switching over the Diva cup. I feel fresher all day and it puts my mind at ease that it's ecologically friendly, economical and chemical free! I absolutely recommend a menstrual cup to anyone and Thrive's price on the Diva cup is what sold me.

Best Period Experience

I have been using this exclusively for a year now and it really did change my relationship with my period. I feel cleaner and fresher all day and have less worry about leaking or needing to change something and time my bathroom visits. I have a light/medium flow and can leave it in for the 12 hours and change it in the morning and again in the evening. It felt odd at first and I could feel it and the pressure of the cup but after using it for that first period (where I was hiking through the mountains and didn't have an option to change a pad or tampon) I got so used to using it I never bought another box of disposable pads/tampons.

Ignore the "over 30" remark and don't waste anymore time!!

I feel like I've been lied to my entire life... This thing is life-altering to the highest degree. Work in your feet 10 hours a day like I do? You're fine! No leaks, no fuss, no changing, no bathroom mishaps... just comfort. It's actually confusing how easy this is. I kept expecting that something would go wrong or I'd suddenly flip it upside down somehow... never happened. There's a little bit of a learning curve (I mistook inexperience for discomfort,) you need to read a few articles to figure out the best way to remove it for your personal comfort. Once you get the hang of it and realize you can trust it, you'll actually be upset that this hasn't been a mainstream option all along. And do not let the age description put you off from this product! The only time I do don't wear it is to yoga or Pilates classes, I'm still not sure about what happens when you're upside down.

Good in Theory

I was SO excited to get this. I hate wasting money on tampons, I don't like the idea of shoving chemicals inside my body and I don't like the waste. I was definitely scared about using it the first time but I was also pumped. My experience was pretty disappointing, however. I'm 23, 5'4 and around 115 pounds. I found this cup to be too wide and I felt too much pressure with it inside. At first I just thought I wasn't inserting it correctly but I read tons of reviews and reread the instructions and gave it a couple more trials. I think I'm going to try a smaller size from another company here on Thrive. The Diva Cup was definitely a good quality and the idea behind it is great but the fit is not always going to be perfect.

Worth a try. Feels awesome staying clean, clean underwear, saving the earth by not disposing of pads/tampons, less severe cramping (I noticed), not having to go change something every 4 hours, and no chance of toxic shock syndrome!! I suggest buying the diva cup wash because the silicone can't be cleaned with just anything, remember it goes inside so you want something that disinfects it but also doesn't harm/irritate you. Can be used as a face and body wash too. Ladies try the diva cup it might change your life!

Love This

I love it, you save a lot. However, on your heavy day please wear at least a panty liner. One day mine overflowed by a tiny bit. Also, can increase cramp pains because I experience instant cramp relief once I remove it from vagina. Additionally, it is super convenient and allows you to flip, split, gym, yoga ... anything. This is what I love!!! But sometimes it feels a little too big for me.

Changing the Game

I was too chicken to buy this in-store...so glad I did because its so convenient not having to worry about leaking. It eliminates that dry, irritated feeling that can happen with tampons and lets it flow freely. My doctor told me tampons can make cramping and clotting worse so this is a great alternative to smelly, dirty pads.

It will take some getting used to inserting and taking out, but you forget its there, feels like less cramping overall and feels like you can breathe!

I highly recommend to anyone with a heavy flow or prone to yeast infections. So glad I could buy it online in private :)

Total game changer

I just used the Diva cup for the first time, and it is a total game changer. No more waste from pads/tampons and my monthly cycle is much easier to deal with (dare I say, it is even met with a little excitement because I get to use this thing?). You can use it all day and overnight, changing it out about 2-3 times a day, with no leakage and no discomfort! Love my Diva cup!

Best thing since sliced bread!

I have to be honest I was more than a little apprehensive about purchasing the Diva Cup and even put it off for awhile after conversations with my friends (none of whom had used the Diva Cup before) about how messy it must be to use...etc. All I can say to that is stop speculating and start buying now! If you are the least bit interested in the Diva Cup then buy it right away! I have never had such a free cycle! No more keeping tampons everywhere and worrying whether or not I have enough for a day away from home, no more plastic waste and worry when there isn't a trash can where there should be, NO MORE LEAKS, and most importantly no more discomfort from tampons that are rough on your vaginal wall and can cause serious infections such as Toxic Shock Syndrome. I have never written a review on Thrive Market until now, and I've been purchasing from this site for over a year now, but I needed to write this review for the women like me drawn to the Diva Cup but still apprehensive. Ladies, having used mine through a full cycle now I can honestly say that going back to a world of tampons and pads isn't an option for me anymore. Buy it now and thank yourself later!

I have been using DivaCups for about 7 years now and I'll never permanently go back to tampons. Super convenient because you don't have to change it every few hours - a real perk if you're out and about in life or for your job. Makes having your period easy!

Takes a few attempts to figure out but once I did, it's life changing! Check the size/model and your age before purchasing (if 30 or over, go for Model 2).

Just got my diva cup and used it this month. I was nervous at first, but had absolutely no problems over the four days of my cycle. For me, it was helpful to put it in and take it out a couple times the first time using it just so I knew what to expect. Definitely not going back to tampons and such a good deal through Thrive.

Love this!

I had heard of menstrual cups quite a while ago, I just never made the plunge because of the price. Well, with Thrive's great prices, I was finally able to purchase one. Let me say, it's absolutely amazing! Ever since I tried it, I've literally been screaming from the rooftops to every woman I talk with, "Get a menstrual cup!" Honestly, I didn't feel like I had a learning curve at all. It was definitely strange to put in the first time or two, but I never once leaked (I wore pantyliner just in case). I have a fairly light period, so I really only need to empty it once in the morning, and once in the evening. I think I have a lower cervix, so the 'stem' is a bit long for me, but I can always cut it off, or even flip the cup inside out. I don't totally dread my period anymore. I don't have to worry about changing a tampon several times a day, there is no odor, it's so much better for your wallet in the long run and for Mother Earth!! Plus, I always felt gross if my tampon string would absorb urine, well, those days are long gone! I could not be happier about my period :) If anyone is on the fence about this, or even if you think a menstrual cup sounds gross/strange/whatever, just give it a try!!! I promise you'll be changing your mind and wishing you had converted earlier, like myself!!

Ridiculously good!

I was a die-hard o.b. tampon girl for years, but after two of my besties had their period worlds turned upside down by getting diva cups, I had to try it for myself. Though there can be a bit of a learning curve, it is ultimately very easy to use. I love being able to quantify how heavy my flow is (there are markings on the inside to measure volume - so cool!) and changing it is the easiest thing ever. I like sleeping nekkid, a luxury which was once a huge period no-no but is now the norm all month long for this happy hippie. Even the gym is no match for my diva cup, provided I have it in correctly; it has withstood the tests of yoga, Crossfit, and good old-fashioned back squat workouts. I could go on and on about how it's easy on the wallet and Mother Earth, but suffice it to say that having a diva cup makes me happy to get my period.

I was so excited to try this because as an alternative, but sadly there is a warning on the box not to use if you are allergic or sensitive to latex. Still looking for an alternative.

Worth the purchase

I was skeptical about buying a menstrual cup, and put it off for months. Now I'm wondering what in the world my problem was, as this is so much better than tampons. Not only am I no longer throwing away multiple tampons a day, but I'm able to wear my cup for 10-12 hours, making my period much less of a hassle. Wishing I'd purchased this much sooner!

Life Changing!

This is so much cleaner than pads. I don't like tampons because they irritate so bad and pads do as well. I fold the cup into a C shape, and push it in as far as I can. Then use my finger to try to pop it open. I pull it down to make sure there's a suction. It took me honestly about 2 days, but I read so many reviews on it.

There's no funky smell every time you pee. You just empty it out every 10 hours, rinse, and then insert. I clean it with soap... But am thinking of getting the Diva cleaner solution.

Great substitution!!!

Sometimes hard figure which way it fits but you will get used to it. I felt really comfortable with it on my third period. Still sometimes I wear everyday pads for first hour of placing the cup and if it is not leaking I am free to forget about my period for 11 hours :)

Honestly haven't practiced yoga with it yet so can't tell how it's holding up in that matter.

But this things 1) saves me money 2) makes me feel better about my period 3) doesn't get smelly ( ever) 4) long-lasting 5)Comfortable

I find this works well for me, I am in my late 20's and have not had any children. The first use was a bit tricky, I was paranoid it wasn't in the right spot and would leak. With a little bit of practice, you don't even notice it! It's like making you period disappear!

Clean, Easy, Comfortable

This is by far the best "feminine hygiene" product I've used. I've never had a leak, even on heavy days. It does take a little getting used to, but once you figure it out it's easy to use and so comfortable. I've used it backpacking, climbing, skiing and just at work or home and never had an issue, unlike tampons or pads.

I find it easiest to empty and clean my diva cup in the shower, just a couple minutes every morning and evening. I find the hot water helps with cramps too. The medical grade silicone doesn't dry you out and there's no risk of toxic shock, so you can use the diva cup for 12 hours! No getting up during the night to change a pad or tampon. No leaks. WAY more comfortable than anything else I've tried, and no waste!! This review got a little long, but seriously I love this thing!

Better Periods

The idea of these is so weird, but honestly, after you use it a couple times, it seems weird that you used to do anything else. These are smaller versions of the DivaCup designed for women who haven't given birth yet. This one is great. It goes in pretty easily, but there's definitely a learning curve. Give it at least 3 months to really get used to using it and have things under control. This is a lot more comfortable than tampons or pads too. No more discomfort or odd lines in clothing.

Not only that, but it saves me money. I don't have to buy feminine care products every month since this is reusable. It also helps reduce waste in the environment too which is really important to me.

It might seem weird at first, but I recommend every woman at least TRY this method at least once. If you don't like it, you can always switch back, but I think most people will stay with it.

Definitely worth it

I finally decided to try the Diva cup out, mostly due to concern about all the waste from past and future tampon use. I also figured it would save me a lot of money in the long run. Like many things that are worth the effort, it definitely takes a bit of practice at first and some getting used to, but by your 2nd period you should be used to it. My periods are very heavy at first, and it's a relief not to have to worry about tampon changes those first few days. You'll be glad you tried it out.
