About This Brand

Bronze drawn, slow dried pasta since 1886. Since 1886 we have liked our pasta to be bronze drawn and slowly dried because we like it to fall into the plate full of taste, rough and always "al dente".Even though our taste has not changed, as we feel the same love for tradition, we have continued to improve our production technologies. The best pasta is made starting from the finest quality ingredients beginning with excellent durum wheat. This is what makes the difference.First of all De Cecco pasta is not made with any kind of wheat, but rather from the best durum wheat, the ones golden like the sun.For De Cecco passion for quality is very tangible. That’s why experts inspect the harvest fields checking the quality of the wheat, which is bound for shipment to the mill (Molino) in Fara San Martino. De Cecco uses only pale yellow grains, which are called colored grains, the same ones that you re-discover in your plate after a laborious process.Upon arrival the wheat goes through lab...

Reviews For Spaghetti

The Best Dried Pasta

I've tried many different brands of dried pasta (some very expensive) and DeCecco is pretty much the best. The price is low for an imported Italian pasta. They stay al dente and don't get mushy.

Great Spaghetti

I have to eat gluten free, but I don't force it on the rest of my family. When I order my GF spaghetti noodles I order de Cecco for my family. They love it. The flavor is great and they like that it doesn't get too sticky or mushy.

GMO free dinner

Sometimes it's hard to find GMO free foods at the local grocery store. But, with Thrive Market I can have an entire GMO free meal. From spaghetti noodles that are GMO free to pasta sauce with no GMOs. These noodles are great, and they cook up perfect!

Ok, not fantastic

I tried DeCecco as an alternative to my local grocery's store generic brand, just to see if there was a huge difference in taste. I'd heard good things about the company, but based on this, I'm not that impressed. The pasta is fine, al dente and firm, but the flavor isn't any different than what I buy. The quality seems very similar, so I think I'll try another brand or go back to my old pasta.

Great Taste

I heard about a lot of popular pasta companies using GMO ingredients in their pastas, and I wanted nothing of it. I love that this pasta is made without GMO ingredients, and I'm not sure if it's the lack of GMOs or what, but this tastes so much better than the boxed pasta we used to eat. There are quite a few servings in this box, and it has a taste that just partners so well with our spaghetti sauce. It has helped my family love spaghetti even more.

Staple

I have at least two boxes of this pasta in my house at all times. It is the ultimate staple in our home. When we are short on time we make it with a simple sauce. It also tastes great with olive oil and some parm or feta cheese. This pasta is high quality and very dense. There is no question if my family will be full after eating this spaghetti. It has great flavor and cooks perfectly every time!

A classic standby...

This is authentic Italian spaghetti. It's high quality, which you can taste in the mild flavor and dense texture. I find that the sauce also sticks to it better than the cheap boxes I grab in the 7/11 on occasion.
