About This Brand

What is put on the outside of our bodies is just as important as what is put inside of them. Many personal care items such as soaps, lotions, shampoos, and conditioners, are made with harsh chemicals like sulfates and parabens that can be absorbed through the skin and cause endocrine disruption. Luckily, Dr. Bronner’s is a safe, organic brand that provides a number of quality personal care products, all without those harsh chemicals. Dr. Bronner’s legacy Dr. Bronner’s has a long history dating all the way back to 1858 when a German-Jewish family began mastering the craft of soap making. It wasn’t until 1908, however, that they began formally selling their soaps in small batches. Fast forward 20 years later to 1928, and Emmanuel Bronner (third generation master soapmaker) brought his family’s soap recipes to the United States where he launched Dr. Bronner’s. He began by making his soaps at home and packaging them with positive messages to promote inclusion and happiness. By...

great feeling & smell .

great product

I have been looking for a long time for a healthy shaving cream product. So thankful when I came across this.

This item takes a little bit of getting used to because it's more liquid. It took me a few times and now can shave my legs without wasting. Like the smell of lavender.

- Namaste

Best shaving product I have ever used. Yes, it is runny so you need to be careful while pouring, but it will give you the closest shave ever!

Good but Gooey

Love the smoothness of the shave that I get, but it's difficult to not get more than you desire out of the tube because of how runny the product is. Enjoy the smell. I'll keep buying this!

Best shave I've ever had

As a teen, I used all manner of toxic, mainstream shaving products, and while I got a magically smooth shave from some of them, I was left stinking of synthetic perfumes at best. At worst, the chemical garbage caused weird skin reactions. I had mostly given up shaving. Rarely, I'd try with a very moisturizing soap, but it left my skin horribly irritated despite my soap's quality.. Summertime and a renewed gym membership made me want something better, and this Dr. Bronner's product really delivers. I use cheap Dollar Shave Club razors, yet this slightly sticky, disconcertingly runny soap creates a wonderfully cushioning lather that protects and calms my sensitive skin. No red bumps! No cuts! Closest shave I've had in years! The scent is exactly as you should expect from the product description: melted, unrefined sugar and fresh lavender flowers. Absolutely decadent to my senses. The smell does not linger as long as I would like, but I have essential oils for that. I wish this product were packaged differently, as it is very easy to have a bad spill with this tube. Regardless, I am very pleased, and will return for more.

Dr. Bronner's does it again

Dr. Bronner's Shaving Soap is amazing! As someone who has very dry, easily irritated skin, this product is priceless. The oils leave my skin feeling smooth and moisturized rather than dry and itchy like all other products I've tried. I used the Spearmint version of this and would highly recommend either one of them.

The Best

The first time a tried this I wasn't sure. The consistency is different. But now I love it. I get a great shave and smooth legs. I won't use anything else now!

Lovely smell

Smells great but the great stops there for me. Really watery to apply when you have wet slippery hands and a sharp object in your hands. I'll stick with a cream or coconut oil.

- Janette

amazing especially for sensitive skin

works really well- no irritation or bumps especially under armpits. Love this wont use anything else now.

Weird consistency and smell but works great

I was put off by the brown liquid nature and the odd smell of this product, thinking it would be a cream and it had gone bad. Nope, it's just like that. It does work well actually, closest shave ever from a natural product. It's hard to control how much comes out of the tube though. I think a pump or any other kind of container other than an upside down tube would be a better fit for the consistency.

love this stuff!

Best shave lotion ever! It feels good, smells good and leaves my skin soft.

Never going back

Love this! I've used lots of different shaving cream, oils, and such and this is by far my new favorite.

Not What I Expected

I love Dr. Bronners soaps, we buy them all the time. But this shaving soap was not at all what I expected. It is a brown liquid that pours out of the opening as soon as you flip the lid open, and occasionally grainy textured material is in the liquid but not always, so it's definitely not evenly mixed within the bottle (and it's too thick to shake, but too thin to not just come oozing out). It also left some red marks on my underarms that burned, but on an area that I didn't even shave, because it burned before I started shaving! So strange! I wouldn't recommend this. I wish it were a cream of some sort.

Smells great & leaves skin soft

I decided to try this out after having enough with regular store brand shave creams. They would leave my skin tight and dry especially during the winter. After using this product one time I noticed a huge difference in my skin- it was no longer dry it felt moisturized and I no longer have to slather on lotion right after. My only complaint with this is that the product is too liquidy for me. I waste a little of the product every time because the consistency is just a little thicker than water. Smells great- I will keeping buying!

- Ashley

Love this!

This product gives a great shave on my legs, plus it's a soap. Great all around.

- Cynthia

Nice but not sure I'd buy again

I was trying something new and its nice. The brown color gel was a bit off putting at first, but I looked up the ingredients and saw why. I don't recommend for sensitive skin. The gel is intense so a little bit goes a long way. Razors do dull a bit faster than expected.

A Little Goes A Long Way

I adore this product. It gets the job done and makes my skin smooth and soft. I recommend using a dime sized amount due to lathering capabilities. The smell is relaxing also. Will be buying again.
