About This Brand

Clean, affordable, petroleum-free body lotion. EveryDay Shea is an extension of Alaffia Sustainable Skin Care. Alaffia was founded by Olowo-n’djo Tchala, a Togolese native, as a way to generate funds to conduct community enhancement projects in his home country and other West African nations in order to reduce poverty and gender inequality. Olowo-n’djo believes that Africans can mobilize their natural resources in a sustainable manner to empower their own communities, and that this is a more sustainable avenue towards reducing poverty than waiting for outside aid or for corrupt governments to fall. Alaffia and the Alaffia Shea Butter Cooperative were founded in order to trade the indigenous resource – Shea Butter – in the West to raise proceeds which are then returned to Togo in the form of community projects. EveryDay Shea is a continuation of this philosophy. EveryDay Shea is a value line product that is price-sensitive during this economically difficult time. It provides a...

Reviews For Fair Trade Shea Butter Conditioner Vanilla Mint

Based on 10 Reviews

O.K.

This shampoo is alright, was really hoping to like it a lot more than I did. The smell is good, although I cannot really smell the vanilla, but it does leave my hair feeling a little dry... Good enough to finish the bottle, but probably wont re-buy.

Smells good

I love the smell, mostly mint. It's not my favorite conditioner though. I have very dry hair and live in a place with very hard water and it doesn't do a lot for my sad hair.

Wanted to give it 5 but...

It leaves a residue on my scalp after using it a few days in a row. Have to do a good clarifying and then use it again. It's got a great scent and it does condition very well. Also, can't beat the size and price.

Maybe we're just not a good fit

I bought this with the shampoo as well. They both smell great, but I can't brush my hair or even run my finger through my hair without needing an additional leave-in conditioner. I'm trying to get my hair healthy the natural way, but when I use this conditioner it feels like I just put lotion on my damp hair. Not a fan

Works Great!

This conditioner leaves my hair soft and manageable while smelling fantastic. It tingles a little when I use it and I really enjoy it. I love the scent and the company itself. I recommend giving it a try!

Smells so good!

This conditioner smells so good! I really love how it smells and that it leaves my hair shiny and soft. I will definitely be purchasing a second bottle!

Smells divine, great conditioner

I've been using the unsented version of this for the better part of a year and thought I'd give the vanilla mint a try. I've started getting compliments on how my hair smells! I'm in my early 30's and have wavy shoulder length virgin hair, this definitely does the trick. I take care of my hair in other ways as well but I get compliments on how shiny and healthy it is all the time. Great stuff. it's literally a base for the rest of my hair care routine.

Similar to the unscented

I love everyday Shea unscented Shea conditioner. This works just as well and the mint gives it a little tingle too. Wish you would stock the unscented in the future.

Not a conditioner

This "conditioner" is like no other I've tried. Did not condition or make it easy to comb. It didn't matter how much or how long you left it on, my hair seemed drier and less able to get a comb through than when I used the shampoo. I thought at first maybe the label was on the wrong bottle. It may condition your hair but trying to comb it was impossible. Will not purchase this again and I don't know what I will do with the rest of the bottle.

Dull hair

I will not purchase this product again. It does not make my hair soft at all. It's sticky and flat. My hair looked and felt better with ACV alone. Now I'm stuck with giant bottle I can't return to Thrive. Disappointed.
