About This Brand

Mary’s Gone Crackers is a bona fide sensation. They’ve sold over 8 million boxes of their iconic gluten-free crackers in over 10,000 stores across the nation, and the sales seem to only be growing. They’ve done exceedingly well for a small company from Northern California, and actually started out as a passion project. The company was born when the founder, Mary Waldner, was sick. Although, she didn't quite know what the problem was. From an early age, Waldner felt sharp and discomforting pains in her stomach after eating a meal, and it only grew worse over the years, leaving her tired, anxious, and depressed. Waldner went to doctors and medical specialists, but they couldn’t seem to figure out what was wrong. They thought her immense stomach pains were psychosomatic, a false illness she invented in her head, making her feel even worse. The pain that Waldner felt was real, but medical experts didn’t believe her. Fast forward to the mid 90s and Waldner is at an...

Why You’ll Love Herb Crackers

When you’re gluten-free, sometimes snacking isn’t all it’s cracked up to be—that is unless you have quality options such as Mary’s Gone Herb Crackers. These crunchy little rounds are made with organic brown rice and healthful seeds alongside a handful of herbs and tamari for incredible nutty flavor that can add depth to any dips, salsas, and cheese plates. Or, just grab a handful straight from the box to enjoy all on their own.

The founder of Mary’s Gone started her baking company after learning she had Celiac disease and wanted tasty options she could still eat without having to feel deprived by all the things she had to eliminate from her diet.

Mary’s Gone Crackers follow a conscious approach to eating that uses all whole food ingredients, or foods that are minimally refined or processed. Minimally processed foods don’t contain a lot of added fat, salt, sugar, or artificial ingredients; instead, they harness the bountiful vitamins and minerals already existing in the natural form, which can provide the body with necessary nutrients like protein and fiber.

The wholesome ingredients in Mary’s Gone Herb Crackers

Mary’s Gone Crackers are filled with some of the healthiest ingredients you can find, and none of the nasty additives you want to avoid. The contents inside each 6.5 oz. box are USDA certified organic, gluten-free, non-GMO verified, and vegan-friendly. Just one serving provides a ton of fiber (13 percent of the daily recommended amount), protein, calcium, and iron—and no trans fats or sugar.

Here’s what you’ll find in each mouthwatering herb cracker:

  • Organic short grain brown rice
  • Organic whole quinoa
  • Organic flaxseeds
  • Organic sesame seeds
  • Organic garlic
  • Organic herbs
  • Organic tamari
  • Sea salt

Short grain brown rice

The use of short grain brown rice in these savory crackers is not only ideal for those that are following wheat-free diets but also for those watching blood glucose levels. Brown rice has the outer husk or hull still intact, which not only provides the darker appearance and nuttier flavor, but also more fiber. The more fiber a food has, the more slowly the body absorbs it, leading to less blood sugar spikes and a more prolonged feeling of fullness that cuts down on excess snacking. Fiber is also a major player in digestive health and heart health, particularly in its abilities to lower levels of bad cholesterol.

The outer hull of brown rice also has a good amount of magnesium, a mineral that helps with overall well-being. A deficiency can lead to cramps, headaches, nausea, even heart attacks in some cases.

Whole quinoa

Quinoa is certainly having a moment, often appearing in salads, veggie burgers, and baked goods. This grain adds an interesting texture to many foods, and is also a wonderful substitute for carb-loaders like pasta and bread.

Just one cup of quinoa provides eight grams of protein and contains all nine essential amino acids that the body can’t naturally produce, making this nutritious grain a complete protein. The use of quinoa in these herb crackers also increases the total fiber content, making Mary’s Gone rounds a more fulfilling snack than empty-calorie potato chips or candy.

Quinoa also has B vitamins, potassium, iron, and zinc—these minerals and vitamins work together to maintain good cholesterol levels, heart health, and optimal bodily function.

Want even more fiber? You’ll find it in the nutty and delightful flaxseeds in Mary's Gone Herb Crackers. Flaxseeds are also a prime source of polyphenols, plant compounds that have been linked to preventing hormone-associated cancers, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular disease. They’re loaded with nutrients, too, including:

  • Zinc, selenium, and magnesium, which help to promote healthy skin and aid in wound healing.
  • Vitamin B, which keeps skin looking hydrated and youthful and can also increase energy levels and immunity.
  • Iron and copper, minerals that form healthy red blood cells and blood vessels.

Sesame seeds

They may be tiny, but these seeds contain a whole host of beneficial materials. One is sesamol, an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound that promotes heart health. There’s also iron inside and, of course, more fiber.

Recipes to pair with Mary's Gone Crackers Herb Crackers

Mary’s Gone Crackers are great by themselves at snack time, but also taste great when you pair them with these delectable dishes and toppings.

Homemade Mozzarella

Yes, you can make delicious mozzarella cheese right in your own kitchen, and it will take just as long as one of your favorite television shows. All you need is some whole milk and a starter culture kit. Perfect for dinner parties, slice up your finished cheese and serve with some cherry tomatoes, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and of course Mary’s Gone Herb Crackers.

Baked Brie with Fruit and Nut Compote

Warm baked brie is nothing short of sublime, especially on top of crunchy, wholesome crackers. Top the combo off with a sweet fruit and nut compote, and this simple appetizer will always be the center of attention.

Red Pepper Walnut Dip

For a spicy dip that complements the flavors in Mary’s Gone Herb Crackers, try this recipe. It’s inspired by muhammara, a traditional Syrian delicacy that combines red bell peppers, walnuts, tomato, garlic, and other zesty ingredients.

Cauliflower Hummus

Move over, chickpeas! This light, smooth hummus is made with pureed cauliflower, olive oil, garlic, and tahini, all of which tastes perfect alongside the lovely herbs in Mary's Gone Crackers Herb Crackers. This is an incredibly quick and easy recipe—the most intensive part is roasting the cauliflower—which makes it ideal for a healthy after-school or after-work snack.

Still good!

Very crunchy and a bit hard, I have like these for years. Would be great with dip, but I just eat them plain.

- Diane

Delicious crackers

Ordered these after trying the original variety. Both versions are wonderfully light and tasty.

- Deborah Smith

I'm a wheat eater and a Mary's Gone Crackers fan!

We're not gluten free, but both my husband and I really like these. We always have some on hand. They're super crunchy and nutritious- lots of omega 3's, and good amounts of fiber and protein. I like them dipped in spicy hummus.

- Mrs. FancyPanties

I love how crunchy these are and how you can really see every ingredient!

- Kat

Have to be careful eating them as little seeds are like to find an old filling and sneak into gum line..but too good not to eat

- Sally

hearty, crunchy crackers

These crackers are chock full of flavor, and I love the aroma of the herbs. I'm a huge fan of seed crackers, and these are at the top of the list. Very savory and satisfying.

- Jen

Gone crackers

Wonderful snack cracker , love the taste.

- Emmanuel

A little better than the plain, but still very dry, a bit hard, a touch too much rosemary

- L

- Karen

Mary's Gone Crackers are awesome

We absolutely love these crackers - hope they won't put us in the poor house :-)

- michael

Herb crackers

I love Mary's Gone Crackers! I recently tried this herb flavor and do not like it at all. It'd be nice if the company would've included what spices are in the herb blend. I do not like alot of rosemary and this blend has a very strong rosemary flavor. Not my taste.

- Lisa

Such a crunchy treat!

These are the best, gluten free cracker, EVER! Seriously, so good. Especially topped with your fave cheese. Enjoy!

- Breck

All right

They have a nice texture, but I don't care for the taste. However, I just ate them plain. I'd recommend eating them with cheese or something to improve the experience.

- Anna

Great Taste

Very tasty and nice crunchy crackers.

- Sally

These crackers have a great texture and they taste delicious. I usually eat them with hummus.

- Ivette

Mary's gone to s&s

Yummy, crunchy, lotsa flavor. Thanks Mary

- Ronald

I love the taste and texture of these crackers.

I love the taste and texture of these crackers.

- Akvile

SO good!

I ate a few of these plain and they were a nice crunchy, herby and nutty flavor...yum! Then I remembered I had goat cheese and wow...game changer for sure! I had read previous reviews about a burnt flavor and ordered anyway, and I wouldn't call it a "burnt" taste in my opinion. It's a flavor of whole, cooked flax seeds. Not unpleasant at all. I can't wait to find new toppers for these tasty crackers

- Amanda

Mary's herb crackers

Very good. Will buy again.

- Dianne

not good for my taste

I thought they tasted funny and were way to crunchy. I wouldn't buy these again.

- sarah

Tasted a little bit burnt, goes great with hummus!

- Michelle

Scary good........

Ahhhhh. Scary. Not only are these crackers sooo tasty, soooo healthy too. (Not in excess though, as I think a lot of carbs = weight gain, at least for me. Hmmmm. However, Very high taste:carb ratio!!!!)

- Roger Tribble

I'm not a garlic lover! Alright, I may be in the minority... I dislike the horrid and lingering odors of garlic and onion... despite their health benefits...
I love these crackers.
The herbs are delicate, not overpowering at all, even for me.
I do like the original better, but I eat these and enjoy them.

- BB

best crackers ever!

healthy, crunchy, awesome. particularly good with goat cheese ;-)

- Jocelyn

Great crackers

I love these! Healthy, crunchy and delicious!

- Megan

Love the taste of these, but the texture is lovely too. Will be buying these again!

- Olivia

Crunchy Crunch Crunch!

I love these crackers because of their crunch obviously. My husband loves them because he can eat an entire box and not feel like he ate an entire turkey. When the TV is on, football or movie, we have snacks. Somtimes I will slice some cheese to put on these and sometimes we eat them plain. The flavor is just that good! They are Certified Organic and Non-GMO which is like hitting a home-run. We love these crackers like no other and will continue to buy them!

We would like less packing though. We feel like they could have done a better job at designing the box to be more minimalist.

- Mamie Castillo

Newest Addiction!

I tried these at a fellow gluten-free friend's house and I fell in love. Since then, I have had my pantry stocked with these and need to stock up even more now that winter is approaching. These crackers are not only extremely tasty, but they are nutritious and so convenient! I definitely recommend!

- Jackie Chapman

great taste

Love the taste of these and they have a great crunch.

- Nancy

Over coooked

Not only are these like eating rocks, but they were burned during baking. You can taste a burnt/overcooked flavor. Waste of money.

- Antonette

Nothing artificial in these crackers

If like me, you're in search of a cracker that is vegan, GF, low salt, low sugar and low fat, and has a deep grainy taste with lots of crunch and seeds and flavor, then Mary's Gone is your choice. These are good just plain or with roast beef or some other kind of lean meat.

- Earnest Curtis

There Not Bad

These crackers are okay. The name is funny. These were crumbly and that is why I'm only giving it 3 stars. They tasted pretty good, but it was hard to tell as they were mostly crumbs. I wanted to use them at my small gathering, topping them with goat cheese; luckily, I had a substitute on hand. I'm sure it was a shipping error.

Since I'm a member of Thrive, I'll purchase these again. The price is much better than the local health food grocer. Give these crackers a try.

- Teri W

So Great!

These crackers are so great! I feel like the brand name really describes these crackers very well. (Mary's Gone Crackers) I think this because they are in the house for a couple days and then they are gone.

It isn't that they don't put enough in the box, It's that we just love them so much in our house. I eat them mostly when I wind down at night. I don't feel so bad mindlessly snacking on a snack as healthy as this one. My kids also love these and have them as a snack after naps or in the morning between breakfast and lunch. These have great flavor and are super satisfying

- Stella Grace

They're great snacks, and they don't calories either.

These herb crackers taste delicious. There are so many herbs on them, and they''ally liked how they taste, and I love to eat them. They're great snacks, and they don't calories either. It's a win-win situation!

- Helaine Kulesza

I can't handle how good these crackers are!

A lot of flavor in a little cracker. I sure will buy them again. And a great price too!

- P. Simmons

Love the texture

I love these crackers! They have a wonderful, complex texture. These are not the smooth, refined, nutritional black hole crackers I grew up with. I also love the sesame seeds, both for their flavor and the extra crunch. I'm not on a gluten-free diet - I just happen to really like them!
