Reviews For Mississippi Delta Tomato Basil Soup Mix
Based on 4 Reviews
Good, but you can make it better...
This is a decent soup mix. Make sure you get a good brand of tomato to add. I used honey instead of brown sugar, and I did add some ginger to it as well to give it a little kick, and that really made a difference.
I made this with almond milk instead of cream and veggie broth instead of chicken broth. it turned out awesome.
Ouch for low carb and low sodium diets!
This is NOT what it seems. Must click on and enlarge back of package and read carefully for carb and sodium content and preparation instructions!
WAY too much food
SO the front says serves 5-6 which is pretty accurate. But on the back it says 10. I guess this is because it is measured uncooked, but it is a confusing discrepancy.
However, the taste is alright. I ended up adding extra tomato paste because it didn't really taste like tomato soup. Also, prepare for a lot of rice. A lot more than you'd expect out of such a little package.
PS this isn't a one-stop fresh soup mix. You need a lot of extra ingredients.
