The Details
Rosé typically falls into one of two categories: light and super drinkable or Kool-Aid juicy. This one from the Corbières region of Southern France walks the line between the two styles: It’s light-hued and delicate, yet it has texture and a touch of juicy fruit. It’s a gorgeous blend of three grapes—Syrah, Grenache, and Cinsault—which are all organically grown by winemaker Jean-Pierre Py. The result is a versatile bottle that’s delicious with everything from fresh fruit to charcuterie.

Domaine Py
Over a glass of wine, Jean-Pierre Py will tell you how winemaking is in his blood. Py’s grandfather owned property in France near the village of Douzens, nestled between the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees mountains, and also worked as a local wine merchant. In 2003, Py began upgrading the winery and converting more than 300 acres of land to organic parcels, receiving organic certification five years later. “Terroir is our heritage and our strength,” he says. “I respect it, and believe in preserving it.”
