Some of my clothes started smelling...

Posted   by R from SANTA MONICA, California
I’ve been using eco egg for a year now. I loved it and didn’t have this problem until lately though some of my laundry started smelling really bad. I cleaned the washer drum, and sanitized it. I refilled pellets. Still towels and some of the clothes smelled, so I did laundry in sanitize setting with only detergent I had, borax, (I had it from my kids’ slime experiment), and the smell went away. I don’t know if the bad smell was caused because I cannot use hot water with eco egg, or eco egg not removing all dirt, and something had built up in the clothes, though it was awful. I love the fact that I’m being ecological though I may purchase the laundry detergent again...

Cheap and clean!

This is one of the most cost effective ways to wash the laundry and we have felt like it does an adequate job cleaning our clothes. It is safe for our baby’s clothing as well. We have had our laundry egg for a little over a year and I was just purchasing these to stock up on even though we still have a few refill pellet packets left from purchasing the egg.

Love this except for my black clothes as I found small white flecks on them that easily brushed off. No measuring which sure helps when my son does his laundry - no worries about how much to use!
