What’s not to like?

I initially hesitated to buy this flavor because the negative reviews seemed so extreme and there were only a few reviews at the time. But it’s difficult to find baby food pouches with meat that are of trustworthy quality, so I decided to give it a try. When I opened the pouch, I expected there to be some unique flavors, but it was very pleasant-smelling (like chicken noodle soup). I tasted it myself and it seemed fine. The kid loved it. Not sure what all the fuss was about with the negative reviewers. Maybe they got a bad batch? Maybe Ella reformulated her recipe since then? Who knows. So glad we gave it a try!

My toddler cannot get enough of this pouch! I always order three and he sucks them down as soon as he sees them in the thrive box.

I got this as a quick and healthy meal replacement for when I'm on the go. I know it is formulated for kids, but it worked well for my purpose and tasted good to boot.

Ella can't cook. Odd slightly bitter, slightly tart flavor.

Posted   by Roxana from Evanston, Illinois
It didn't occur to me to thoroughly check the ingredients (beyond organic), but then once I tasted it (and understood why my little one was like "No way!"), I looked at the ingredients. Who puts the following in Chicken Casserole? Parsnips, rutabagas, leeks, broccoli? Yuck. Ella can't cook. Also, very lame amount of chicken. Babies need fat and protein, people. Not just veggies. Their bodies cannot absorb the nutrients in vegetables without a significant amount of fat and protein (this is true of adults, too). Your pediatrician is wrong. To be clear, I got this as a convenience food for the diaper bag if/when we find ourselves out during lunch or dinner. Will not purchase again.

Great way to get a little meat in my baby's diet. It took some getting used to but now he loves it!

Our go to...

My daughter loves the chicken casserole pouches. It is our go to when she is teething and won't eat anything else. I think they taste awful...but for some reason she likes them :-)

Baby will not eat

Posted   by Thrive from Neillsville, Wisconsin
My little one eats pretty much everything with no problem.... except this. She will immediately spit it and then not let me try again. I tasted it and now I understand why....
