Nice

I really like these for taking snacks with me because they look nice. Of course they don’t have any insulation and they’re not water tight so they don’t work for everything, but perfect for fruit or nuts or other dry snacks.

I have two of these now. One just bought from Thrive and one I’ve had for at least five years now. It has stood the test of time, which is why I got another. I love that it’s all stainless-steel when so many designs come with a plastic lid. I’ve never had a problem with leaks although I guess I’ve never left it upside down either! The only weird nit picky critique I have is that the old design didn’t have the logo branded into the metal. This newer one does, and I prefer things to be brand-less.

I love this container. I have a few myself and my grandson uses them in his lunch. They keep food fresh and no harmful plastics etc.

Great little lunch tin for DRY ingredients only (unless you're good at keeping it totally upright). Love this little tin for lunch at work, or out for the day. I love that it's not plastic, it's sturdy, and it's a great size for my lunch.

Good.

Bought four while they were on sale. Have had them for about two weeks and so far so good. But may not be easy to open for someone with disabilities related to hands or strength.

Fantastic containers (just not 100% watertight)

Posted   by Melissa
These were a great price and we've been using them for salads, sandwiches, etc. For my child, I'll put a sandwich (cut in half, with the two halves stacked) with a silicone muffin cup or two next to it, for things like cut up fruit, carrot sticks, dried fruit, etc. It's the perfect all-in-one lunch container. We found some silicone muffin cups from IKEA that are tall, and they come right up to the lid so there's no spilling. For myself, this is my new favorite salad container. I can pack a nice sized salad and tuck a little stainless steel mini cup in there with salad dressing. It's not 100% water tight so I wouldn't use it for soup or something, but I have used it for wet (not runny) things and it was fine. The clamps are definitely snug, but they are fully operable and my 6 year old can use them with no problem. The 3 year old doesn't have the hand strength to use them yet.

Poor lid/latch design

Right out of the package, I couldn't get the lid to stay on because one of the latches wasn't snug enough to stay in place. The edge of the dish is also pretty sharp, so I wouldn't recommend this for kids.

One good, one not so good

I ordered two of these tins. One of them the clamp doesn't stay closed. Just flops around.
