Perfect Crisco replacement
I've been using this as a replacement for recipes where in the past, I would've used Crisco. It works perfectly for frying foods and for using in other recipes.
I expected this to have a similar mouth feel to margarine or shortening, and it doesn't. The flavor is great, and it holds up to baking similar to butter. This is now a kitchen staple for my family.

perfect substitute for crisco
I never bought Crisco because of the bad reputation it has, but when I knew of this form of palm oil, I started making pie crusts, better cookies, and breads, along with the help of ghee for flavor.

I haven't used shortening in a long time and find that I can't find a lard at a good price that isn't filled with chemicals. When I saw this, I was excited. It's cheaper than any other organic shortening type items and it's completely natural. We used a container to make cake mixes. They came out great. No off flavors, even months later. It went further than I expect as well. I am hooked.

Good for paleo baking

This works really well in baking. It costs less than vegan margarine and has no salt etc. It doesn't add any flavor really, but is easy to use, giving you the mouth-feel needed for yummy baked goods.
Fantastic for vegans and for the lactose intolerant
This is an all natural shortening that works well on my vegan diet. I also have a daughter who's allergic dairy and nuts, so this is really valuable because it has no soy, no dairy and no nuts in it. It doesn't have a huge buttery flavor, but for what you gain, it's fine, and I guarantee you won't really taste a big difference in pies.

Cuts out a lot of fat
I'm trying to cut out as much fat as I can from my diet, but I still enjoy baked goods. This shortening is great for reducing fat when I make pie crusts, especially at holiday time when pumpkin pie and apple pie are my go to desserts. It's made from fully organic oils, and has no hydrogenated oils, which are now supposed to be as bad as it can get when it comes to toxins in your body. So if you bake a lot and make a lot pies, this is a great product that can help in your drive for better health.

Great for Cookies
Hydrogenated fat seems pretty scary to me, and after reading about the dangers, I switched to non-hydrogenated. That's exactly where this comes in. I needed something that worked great for my cooking that didn't have an intense taste, and this seemed perfect. I've been using this as an alternative to butter in all of my cookies, and it doesn't really change the color of my cookies as they bake. I prefer this over other types of shortening.

This has been a real life-saver for my baking life. I've always loved to bake, but my stepson is allergic to soy and egg.
