Reviews For Wyoming Fireside Beef Goulash Mix
Based on 15 Reviews
Awesome and Easy!
I used stew meat instead of ground beef. I also added some garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika as I always have to add my own touch. It was very flavorful and hit the spot. Will definitely buy again. Also, going to try the other varieties of Frontier Soups.
Wyoming Fireside Beef Goulash Mix
Great as soup or goulash over noodles; easy prep; very tasty; low in sodium; will order again!
Fantastic all star favorite
Seasons is perfect! I use turkey and tomatoes and green chilled and bam it's amazing! Slow cooking takes about an hour and a half. Delicious! My sons favorite
One of my favorite soups/stew. Big hit!
Fantastic Goulash mix!
We throughly enjoyed this goulash. Even though it ends up being a bit pricey when you have to add other ingredients not included, I would still buy it again!
Wonderful Comfort Food!
I wasn't expecting this goulash mix to be SOOOO good! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find that this mix, combined with ground beef, beef broth, a can of tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce, makes a delicious and comforting meal, especially for a cold, rainy night. It's flavorful without being spicy, which we appreciate since neither of our stomachs can handle spicy food well; for those who like a spicy kick, it would be very easy to season this to your taste with cayenne, hot sauce, chili powder, etc.. Personally, I think a dash of smoked paprika is perfect. The package suggests serving the goulash with a dollop of sour cream, and we heartily endorse that idea. It's also great with crusty bread. If you wanted to stretch it, you could serve it over egg noodles or rice, or add fresh mushrooms or squash without significantly changing the flavor profile.
My husband and I don't eat small portions, and we had this for three dinners without stretching it. Accounting for the items we added to make this goulash, the cost per serving was less than $3.00. We'll be ordering a lot more of this tasty mix in the future!
I recently became vegan, but I ate this before and the mix is just perfect. It looks like there's no animal ingredients so perhaps I'll try this again with a meat alternative.
Wonderful Flavor...Gluten Free
Easy to prepare and great taste. Very filling and truly a comfort food. Will be ordering this again !
Best goulash ever
I use turkey instead of beef and it's delicious. My 7 yr old loves it too. It takes about 40 mins and I have now turned to making this once every couple days or so days and I keep it in the fridge to munch on and chow on ( snack and dine upon) it's so good. Tastes fantastic!
Great and Easy!
Tasty! I use beef stew meat instead of ground beef. Really good and quick.
Good, but on the spicy side
I gave it 3 stars because although it was good, it was WAY too spicy for my kids and a little too spicy for my husband and I. If spicy is your thing, you will probably like this. Since my kids won't eat it I won't purchase it again. It was very easy to make though-great for a busy night!
This product was SO good, I didn't even tell my husband that it was gluten free in case he would turn up his nose and he just raved about it, goes to show you that you can't always judge!! I did make one change to the recipe b'cuz I didn't have beef broth. I used a pkg of Knorr's french onion soup w/ three cups of water. I don't know if it added to it but it sure didn't hurt it!! I would probably use that again rather than beef broth.
Certainly not the goulash 'mother' used to make even after the meat and broth/stock was added.
It would probably have helped if I had read the ingredients more thoroughly. Since I had not, it was a disappointment to discover that these soups are quite incomplete. You need to provide your own broth or stock, besides the meat (the latter I expected, the former I did not). In other words what these 'soups' are, is a collections of dried ingredients to throw in with what ever stock and meat you have for your soup. At the price, I would have thought this to be a more complete deal.
I had looked forward to a 'goulash' but found this one lacking greatly. The seasoning did nothing for me, neither. I sure hope the other soups I had purchased will have more pleasing tastes.
Very good! Flavorful and easy. Delicious!

The directions were crystal-clear, and even offered an alternate cooking option. After cooking the meat, you can mostly leave this alone, just come by and stir. Easily feeds 4-5, or makes good leftovers if just cooking for 1.
