Life is about passion, staying focused and performing your best. As an athlete and trainer, I am acutely aware that performance fluctuates as one’s energy peaks and wanes in line with the way we fuel our bodies. Food and nutrient choices directly affect my stamina and determine whether I face a competition with confidence and can go for gold each day. Why Beets? Beets, in my diet since my early childhood in Poland, enhanced my running and training in gymnastics, extending my endurance. Each day I drank 8 oz of pure beet juice. I have always joked that it is my natural doping. It made me stronger and allowed me to survive rigorous training sessions. Later when living in Australia and Asia, I came across tropical superfruits, known to locals for their special health benefits.
