The History of Jica Chips
Jica Chips was founded in 2015 by the husband and wife team of Melissa Colella Wang and Xin Wang. Melissa and Xin tried jicama for the first time while vacationing in Mexico. The two quickly fell in love with the vegetable and began cooking with it regularly at their home in New York’s Hudson Valley. Eventually, Melissa began working on using jicama as a healthier alternative to potatoes or corn in chips. The results were so good, they had to be shared with the world!
