Why you’ll love this box
Much of the Malbec found in the U.S. today is from Argentina, but a handful of small-scale producers in the grape’s historical home of Cahors, France, are quietly making some of the most delicious and sustainably grown wine on either side of the Atlantic. Chateau du Cedre, a leading estate in Cahors, has just under 70 acres in organic and biodynamic production. Formerly devoted to lavender cultivation, the Verhaeghe family embraces biodiversity of the land and views their wine as a natural reflection of the local clay and limestone terroir.
