Reviews For Gluten-Free Matzo-Style Squares - Unflavored

Based on 44 Reviews

I love regular matzo but I have a severe gluten allergy, so I was thrilled to find these gluten free squares, but a bit leary of how they would taste. They are fantastic. I can't tell the difference from regular matzo except that these are a bit thinner and easier to break. But all in all I would give it 10 stars if there was such a rating. If you love matzo like I do, you will love this product!

- Christie

I was never really into matzo because I didn't love the flavor. I also can't have gluten, so I figured it just wasn't meant to be. So exciting that these exist - and they're actually better than gluten-full matzo! My fiance prefers these to regular. The only thing is, if you're super strict, it's not a suitable substitute for the Seder.

- Amanda

makes soup suoer again...since gluten free, this was one taste that I couldn't duplicate and these crackers taste like saltines but better!

great find. these will become a staple!

- Lanae

Better than regular Matzo crackers! Crisper!

We are Jewish but have a gluten allergy. This Matzo crackers are even better than the others. Crisper. Awesome. And give us that taste we crave without an allergenic reaction to gluton. We are in heaven not having to give up our favorite Jewish tastes.

- Jean Maurer

super taste

and love the crispness.
Somewhere along the line packing is definitely an issue as very few squares ever arrive in one piece. (The crumbs are good too, but don't make an acceptable presentation.)

- Carol

Even the Crumbs Are Good!

I love these! The only drawback is during shipping they usually get rough treatment and arrive in bits and pieces. The ones that are totally shattered, I use the crumbs as filler in meatloaf instead of oats.

Yehuda Gluten Free Matzo

My five star review relates only to the product, not to the delivery of it. The product is terrific. I have no allergy to gluten , but I had tried this from a local market and found them to be absolutely delicious. In fact, they're like Lays Potato Chips--once you start you can 't have just one. When I saw the price on Thrive I thought: Boy, what a great deal! I ordered a case so I wouldn't run out to soon.

Unfortunately, the case arrived with much of the product in the two boxes I opened broken into little pieces, and some of it completely inedible as crushed. It's a brittle item but this is ridiculous. I will wait I open one or two more boxes to see if they all were damaged. If so, I plan to contact THRIVE to refund my purchase.

These gluten free crackers are delicious.

- Brittany

Love these crackers but please pack more carefully!!!

I order these crackers 4-6 boxes at a time about every 3 months. They are hands down the best gluten free crackers I have ever had. However, having said that, I always get at least 2-3 boxes with almost every cracker broken! I don't know if this is a problem with Thrive packing or they come to Thrive that way and there is no way to inspect them without opening them. Just wanted you to be aware. I think I read another review talking about broken crackers. So I eat the broken ones and save the perfect ones for my hubby! Spousal love at its best!

- Cindy

gf crackers

We enjoyed these very much. I wish they came in smaller cracker size!

gluten-free matzo style squares

Though the taste was good, every matzo was broken (some just crumbs). Have another box that is still unopened.

- Kim

Best cracker

These are the best gluten free crackers out there! I have searched hard to find one that is gluten/egg white free and doesn't contain all those other unnecessary ingredients. These actually taste wonderful! The price is good too. Thrive Market spends valuable time packing them so they don't break during shipment. A real treat that is delicious alone or with any topping.

Gluten Free Saltines!

When I had to go Gluten Free after finding that I have Celiac Disease, I really missed a good cracker. The GF crackers on the market just were not delivering. I found these and was so pleased! I cannot tell the difference in these compared to Saltines! They are so good! So happy to have crackers again!

- Tammy

Yehuda gluten free matso

Tasted great but are so fragile I never got a whole one.

- Gail

Love These

Not too many gluten free crackers have a taste you want to come back for but these are quite yummy.

- Suzanne

Pricey but Worth It

Crispy with just the right amount of salt, they don't need a topping to be tasty. Expect some breakage as it's a long way from Israel to your cupboard.

- Wanda

Best cracker/bread for the monet.

I have always enjoyed Matzo and was so disappointed that I could not eat them when I developed a gluten sensitivity. Now that I have tried these I am thrilled ... they are so thin and tasty.

- Janice Magnusson

best Matzo style squares

fresh, crispy

- bianca

Matzo!!!! At last!!

So happy I discovered these! Even though they break easily, they are very good tasting and I am a believer!

Yeduda Matzo

Very good. Like are Gluten free, but are not Kosher.

Delicious Crackers

This read is my favorite cracker and has replaced bread in my meals.

- ellen

Crispy and Tasty

These crackers are thinner than regular matzohs. They break apart from big sheets. They are tasty and go great with soup. I bought the onion ones too, a am enjoying both.

- Judith

These are absolutely delicious. More than half were all broken in bottom of box when I opened it. . They are fragile.

- Dolores

Best gluten free cracker!

These are the best tasting gluten free crackers, made with simple ingredients. Perfect with those who are not just gluten intolerant but other allergies as well. They do contain eggs, which is considered a high allergen food however. Not very fond of the onion variety of this cracker. Onions always taste like they are burnt.

- Diana

Delicious !

These are soooo good! Usually when my husband and sister taste some of my no-this, no-that foods because I'm so highly allergic, they say, " well I'm glad you like it and can eat it safely, because to us "normal" people, it's not good at all!" But they loved these too - and finished them before I got another helping!!! They are EXCELLENT.

- Judi

My Favorite

This product is my all-time favorite of all gluten-free crackers. The flavor and ingredients are what I like--they tend to break easily, so if you are hoping to use these on a pretty cheese and cracker tray, or try to use them in place of bread, for sandwiches, these are not for you. But for casual eating with cheese, when you don't care what they look like or how they break apart, you'll like them.

you're looking for neatness on a platter of cheese and crackers, these are not for you. But they are great for casual eating, no matter what the pieces look like.

- Suzanne

The best gluten free crackers!

These crackers are actually grain free, nut free, dairy free and coconut free.I was so happy to find this cracker- it is crispy, light and tasty! love it!

- Kristin

Tastes like soda crackers which I miss so much being GF - great for a snack with cheese and meat on them!

- Angie

Taste like the real thing

I tried these solely because I'm gluten-free and they did not disappoint. They feel just like a regular cracker! I love that these come is large pieces that you can cut down to the size you please. I even used them for sandwiches. Great find.

- Bianca

Matzo Yum yehuda

These matzo crackers were delicious and just crunchy enough to satisfy that crunch desire. I'm so glad I tried them.

- Marlene

So happy!

I had to go gluten free a year ago due to rashes and I've been craving crackers ever since. I've tried different ones which were ok but they always had funny ingredients like rice syrup. These crackers are the best I've had by far since going gluten free. I can't even tell the difference in taste with those with gluten. So so happy!

- Monica

Pretty good!

Good crunch and good flavor! Yayy for G.F. Matzo!

- Justine

Yehuda Matzo Style Squares

I have been eating matzoh all my life, these are scrumptious. I happen to have a box of "Kosher to Passover Yehuda Matzos" sitting in my cupboard and they are good but these Gluten Free Matzo-Style Squares are tops, love the flavor of even the so called Unflavored ones. Have the Onion flavor on order and will order another of the Unflavored. These are something I don't want to run out of. I never thought the day would come when I would crave Matzo.

- Florence

I am a non-religious Jew, and a friend brought these over Passover '15. We didn't use them during the seder, but we ate them later on. They're better than any matzo I've ever had! They have a light buttery taste, they are flaky and are much more flavorful than regular matzo. While this shouldn't be used for religious meals, it makes an amazing snack. It's really expensive, but it's worth the price!

As a matter of fact, I'm eating one right now... :)

- Maya

Gluten Free Matzo Style Squares

I just got my order I am delighted. These are so delicious I am going to order another box and one or two for a friend.

- Florence

My whole family LOVES these crackers! They're nice and crisp and there's no rice.

- Thrive User

Yehuda Gluten Free Matzo Style Squares

best gluten free crackers ever.... like eating saltines with your soup minus the salt.

- Thrive User

Nice but not for passover

These are good if you want a matzo taste, but shouldn't be used in place of real matzo and never at passover as they're not kosher. My wife is Jewish, so we like to buy these when we crave that taste. They are crumbly and really good and made naturally, so they're also good for you. Easy to eat straight from the box, or to eat with cream cheese or roast beef.

- Clifton Hudson

Too "cardboard-ish" for me

I like to try various GF foods as much as possible. Not all are going to be tasty to me. These Yehuda brand Matzo crackers were one of those items I thought I would give a try. I served them to my girlfriend, also a GF person, with various meats, cheeses, veggie spreads and salads. She loved them, but for me, they didn't taste as good as I had thought they might.

When we moved in together, she already had a membership to Thrive, the super saving online health mart. She's introduced me to many foods and products I really enjoy, but there have been a few I'm not crazy about. She tells me everyone's tastes are different and I agree. We both love the Thrive Market's prices!

- Adam Vaughn

I really enjoy these

I really enjoy these crackers year round, but especially during passover. It is important to me to hold the traditions of my family and our race and these crackers make it easy to do so. They taste pretty good for being unflavored and never taste burnt like some brands do. They get the right texture and cook them to absolute perfection.

These matzo styled squares taste much like an unsalted cracker and are really good on the side of a meal, or alone as a small snack. When it isn't passover time, I really enjoy these with hummus. They pair perfectly together with hummus for a healthy, gluten free snack. I can only find these on Thrive, so I stock up. At only just over $6 it makes it very easy to do!

- Skeva

Perfect cracker replacement

Because of these I no longer miss saltines. These taste so good. I use them in my soups and even eat them alone. However, they are the perfect thing to dip in all my favorite dips, like spinach dip and hummus. They are also just as good with a little clarified butter or nut butter spread on them.

These squares can do anything any other cracker can do, but they do it better (and healthier)!
