Bittersweet chocolate and sweet, fragrant pears are a classic combo, particularly in desserts. Here they come together in an energizing smoothie, alongside protein-packed almond butter and fiber-rich chia seeds.

1 medium pear, roughly chopped
2 tablespoons cacao powder
2 tablespoons almond butter
2 teaspoons chia seeds
1 Medjool date, pitted
1 cup almond milk
Large handful ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
