Reviews For Kids Sunscreen - SPF 33
Based on 4 Reviews
Good stuff, sort of white but good nonetheless
This spreads quite well for a non-nano-Zinc sunscreen. Both my kids (6 - 12) are very fair red heads and we spend a lot of time outside and at the beach and this stuff does the trick. I recommend applying it after water play, because it comes off after salt water time, but as long as you are diligent in reapplying it every 2 - 3 hours as recommended your kids won't burn. It does leave a white haze but it soaks in eventually in most spots. If you apply it too heavy and try to keep rubbing it in though, it seems to start to just ball up and slough off so beware of that, because you will get blotchy areas where you are not protected (I got burned in a few spots where I rubbed it in too much and simply rubbed it right off) but the whole family uses it, I have gone through 4 bottles already. I wish it came in a larger sized bottle!
I bought this for the eco-friendly concept & no harsh chemicals. I'm not trilled with the product, as it's a bit tacky on my skin. I've found it's best applied after my washing my face, the moisture is definitely needed. Luckily it's not an oily product, though it's very thick and it needs to be rubbed in quite well. It hasn't caused me to break out yet, though I'm still on the lookout for the prefect sunblock.
I have tried a number of non-nano sunscreens, all of them have been great in protecting my kids from getting sunburns, but most have the consistency of peanut butter. This sunscreen doesn't rub in as easy as the chemical-laden, nano particle sunscreens that are everywhere, but it's the closest I have found. I quickly apply and then go back about 10 minutes later and finish rubbing it into their skin. My family has sensitive skin and we live in Arizona, good sun protection is so important. We've been out in the sun for up to about three hours in water without reapplying and my kids have been sunburn free all summer. I love this sunscreen!
Hard to find non-nano zinc oxide sunblock
Non-nano zinc oxide is the only active ingredient you need for healthy safe sunblock and it's the only active ingredient in this brand, plus tons of natural emollients. This is only second to making your own sunblock-great stuff!
