Beauty trends come and go, but one major trend that’s hopefully here to stay is an interest to ditch chemicals in favor of natural, organic, sustainable formulas that work just as well and are actually loaded with good-for-you ingredients. When it comes to natural beauty, natural personal care, and just being a forward-thinking company, Badger more than fits the bill. This family-owned business isn’t just about the bottom line, but works tirelessly to create quality products that care for you while caring for the environment. In fact, Badger is distinguished as a Certified B Corp company thanks to its eco-friendly efforts and is especially dedicated to ensuring the well-being of each company employee through flexible, family-friendly policies. Here’s more on how Badger is changing the game while still putting the planet first.
The History of Badger
Bill Whyte was inspired to launch Badger when he was working as a carpenter in New Hampshire and found himself dealing with dry, cracked hands during the winters. Whyte eventually created an all-natural balm that helped heal his hands and in 1995, he decided to share his invention with the world. Teaming up with his wife Katie Schwerin (as COO) and their two daughters Rebecca Hamilton and Emily Schwerin-Whyte, Whyte grew Badger to over 100 products and over 80 employees. In 2018, Whyte’s daughters Rebecca and Emily took over leadership of the company as its CEOs.
Badger Company Mission
Badger is both committed to the integrity of its products as well as giving back to the community. The company strives to create fabulously pure and effective products of the highest natural quality, based on simplicity and thoughtful preparation, with the intention to protect, soothe and heal. It also works to run a business that is fun, fair, and profitable with an ultimate shared vision for a healthier world.
