- Vitamin D: If we’re getting technical, vitamin D is actually a hormone, and is believed to help improve your mood. The best source of vitamin D is through sunlight. After that, choose fatty fish, egg yolks, and fish liver oil. Many people are deficient—check with your doctor to find out a recommended dose.
- Vitamin E: Vitamin E functions as an antioxidant in our bodies, which may help protect cells from free radicals, and support the production of red blood cells. Find this vitamin in foods like almonds, avocados, kale, eggs, and olive oil.
