Why You’ll Love It

Cows and goats aren’t the only animals that can produce fresh milk. Camel milk is another option that provides a good dose of calcium and is an alternative for those allergic to lactose. Desert Farms freeze-dried powdered camel milk is produced by pasture-raised and grass-fed animals. As a raw product, it’s free of artificial ingredients, additives, and antibiotics. It’s never heated over 60°C, leaving all of its valuable enzymes untouched and health benefits preserved. Try mixing the powder into your morning smoothie or add it to cereal.

About This Brand

Our passion for camel milk began in Saudi Arabia, where our founder, Walid, was visiting his family in his hometown of Jeddah looking for raw milk. He was approached by a friend with a plastic bag of camel milk that looked “really fresh—and tasted soo good,” Walid recalls. But then he couldn’t find it anywhere in stores—only the Bedouins sold it. Since you can stop a camel herder by the road in Jeddah, it was no big deal to the locals, right? But he fell in love with it and he knew other people would, too. He quickly realized that camel milk was being used medicinally in the Middle East and the US as an alternative treatment for children with Autism and people with Diabetes. He found himself attached to the cause and desiring to improve the lives of autistic children around the world. So when Walid moved to California, he appreciated how people valued a healthy lifestyle. He realized this was the perfect place to start a camel milk company. After selling camel milk at mosques and...

Reviews For Camel Milk Powder

Based on 1 Reviews

Expensive but delicious!

This is like a less sweet, less rich version of cow's whole milk. Delicious! Surprisingly, there is no strange flavor, like with goat's milk. In fact, if you told me that this was cow's milk, I wouldn't think twice.

I also love that this is freeze dried, so I can add a spoonful of powder to my coffee and drink it in little portions instead of having to drink fresh milk quickly before it spoils. It also tastes great as a warm cup before bed or mixed with cold water to eat with cereal.

Be warned that this a small bag, though. The price is expensive for 8 full servings (~$8/cup), but I personally think it's worth it because I use only a small spoonful every day (so it will last me a while). For avid milk drinkers, maybe the health benefits from drinking this are worth the cost? I've only just started drinking this, so I can't speak about the health benefits yet!
