Reviews For Sal Suds Biodegradable Cleaner
Based on 47 Reviews
I'm having a hard time thinking of what Sal Suds hasn't cleaned better than any other product. The best thing is how diluted it can be and not only outperform but is natural, doesn't smell like chemicals. I like to mix different concentrations with essential oils like pine, lemon, rosemary, lavender, tea tree, etc... just depends on the job. Works well with other natural cleaning chemicals like baking soda and vinegar.
The advantage of Sal Suds over the pure Castile soap is it doesn't leave a cloudy film on surfaces. It also works a lot better on nasty stuff like toilets, garbage cans, baseboards... I could go on and on...

works just as good as Dawn dish soap. foams up great. a wonderful addition to my kitchen.
This stuff is awesome for cleaning grease in the kitchen, to cleaning wood floors, to mixing with essential oils and lemon juice for tough bathroom cleaning. Amazing! And it's last so long because it's potent ! Smells fresh and is an all around great product.

Great for... everything!
Dish soap, floor soap, bathroom cleaner, and hands down the best stain remover ever. My husband rides horses and always comes back w/his white pants filthy. Sal Suds takes out the stains better tan any commercial 'spot remover'. Go Sal Suds!

My favorite cleaner
I use this mixed with water for kitchen spray and to mop my floors. It's so concentrated a bottle last us FOREVER. It has a barely there pine scent and cleans great. Recipe anyone? Here ya go. One spray bottle full of distilled water (so no streaking) and about a 1/2 tsp of Sal Suds. That's it. Effective and healthy cleaner. The Thrive price is awesome too. At least $4 cheaper than at my local grocery store.
This product works very well. I just don't understand why it's described as a healthy alternative to cleaners containing sulfates – this very clearly contains sulfates.
This stuff is awesome, from laundry detergent to household cleaner! I love Dr Bronners!
This product can replace so many cleaners in your home. It smells clean and fresh. I love it.
Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds
I use this all over the house. It works great and smells good without being artificial. This is the best price I've seen for it.
I use it because it is all natural with no chemicals.
wonderful product with so many uses
Ass above title states
I found out about Dr. Bronner Sal Suds years ago from a homeopath and I have been using it ever since. One 32 ounce bottle lasts years because it is concentrate and you use only a small amount with a lot of water to create a spray cleaner that works very well. I highly recommend this product and can never understand why people buy the much more expensive pre-mixed sprays that do not work as well.

I love this soap.
Has so many, many uses. Wonderful light balsam/spruce scent. Another fabulous Dr. Bonner product.
great product, I use in for laundry soap and dish soap and cleaning showers, everything

I'm a Huge Fan of Dr. Bronner's products
I love all of their dish soaps and can't recommend them highly enough. We even have decided beyond using it for dishes, we have now put it in our old hand foam soap dispensers (from Bath and Body works) and it actually comes out foamy.
So happy I found youuu
All purpose cleaner <3 bathrooms, kitchen, car, walls, glass, mirrors, you name it.
Great for spraying my garden plants
I learned about this product through a youtube video where a garden expert uses a mixture of this product, neem oil, and some essential oils to foliar spray his plants when they get powdery mildew. Works great and can't beat this price! As for household use I can't comment as I'm using it specifically for the foliar spray.
Great cleaner, very foamy!
I was hesitant about this soap since I was going to use it for laundry. But it turned out amazing, plenty of foam and my clothes get a great clean!
my new detergent
Love all of Dr B's products! Like the fact it doesn't take a lot to do a whole load of laundry. Like the fact that it is all natural and I don't have any harsh detergents or chemicals or perfumes or dyes.
This cleaner is amazing. The fragrance is fresh and clean, bright and uplifting. Dishes clean so fast, sweaky clean and sparkly , I am ordering 3 bottles this time. I wish is came in a bigger size.
I am working on getting all toxic cleaners out of my home and this is a great product to use in place of cleaners
It has a very strong cleaning chemical smell, but I covered that up with easential oils. The product works great!
It works. It's non toxic. It does it all. It smells good. Dr. Bronner products are great!
i use sal suds for the dishes. i live in a house of four, and all of us cook and eat every day. one bottle last us maybe two months? you don't need a whole lot, just pour a bit into a bottle and fill the rest up woth water. i love using dr. bronner's. =]
I use this cleaner mainly on my husband's greasy, oil marked work clothes and what a great job it does! I wash them in hot water with it and wow! It cleans perfect!
Sals suds plus vinegar- best household chemical free of all time
I was diagnosed with vasomotor rhinitis so my world is chemical/perfume/toxin free. Sals suds is a great addition to my homemade cleaning recipes. I drizzle a reasonable amount sals into a pan of baking soda- and add a few drops of organic peppermint oil and stir. I use this mixture in my dishwasher. I dilute sals into a gallon of water and for washing clothes (use white vinegar as fabric softener). Sals plus vinegar in spray bottle- spray shower/tub and let it soak for 30 minutes-- wipe clean like new-- amazing. I can go on and on...but my family definitely benefit from the many uses of sals suds and dr bronners soaps (which I interchange depending on what I have on hand at the time).
I love Dr. Bronners!!
I've always loved Dr. Bronner's products and have recently started using Sal Suds. The more ways I use it, the more I LOVE it! It will be my go to all purpose cleaner from now on!
Better than Dawn!
I started using this in place of dawn dish soap because dawn would always cause me to have dry cracked hands. This works just as well without and smells so good. And it's a great deal because it's so concentrated.
You should try it!
I love this stuff! Smells great and cleans well. It foams up pretty good and doesn't dry out my skin.
Washing diapers, dishes, etc
I love this, including the woodsy/cedary/piney smell! I've been using it a couple of weeks for laundry, dishes, even for our cloth diapers. It's got awesome cleaning power!

Back to Basics - Does s great job!!
I just found out that I'm allergic to cobalt and a couple of preservatives that remind me of organic Chem class. I've used Doc Bronners in the past and thought I'd get back to basics. This suds all really gets my clothes clean and bright! My clothes feel lighter because there isn't any residue. I had to wash every stitch of clothes including towels, sheets and blankets and only used a few ounces because one tablespoon washes a huge load in a high efficiency washer. I'm really impressed!! I'm sticking with Doc Bronners products for household and personal care. Between Doc Bronners, bleach, baking soda and vinegar (not necessarily mixed together) my home will be clean and my skin will remain on my hands.
love this product
I make my own products so that I know what is in them. This makes the best Dish Soap.
best soap for the pope
I use this along with washing soda and borax in my dish and laundry soap recipe i saw on wellness mama love it works great and I'm saving money and the environment thank u thrive and mama.
I'm a picky person... Sal suds is my favorite cleaner. Few cleaners have so many functional and versatile uses... I use it in hand washing special dishes & expensive glasseware as well as very greasy pots and pans... I always keep a bottle in my laundry room... dabbing some on stains before tucking them into my washing machine.... a very small amount of SAL SUDS goes into the detergent tray...does an excellent job in hot or cold water. And the two best things about it. .. it doesn't have all those very nasty chemicals that are bad for your clothes and your dishes and your skin and it's very economical. Just read the directions and information on the SAL SUDS bottle and you'll find even more uses for it.
This soap can be used for just about anything! So concentrated takes very little to do so much. Can't ask for anything better !
Best smelling soap ever!
So I was a bit skeptical on using biodegradable organic floor cleaner/dish cleaner/ all purpose cleaner. As a prideful person I hate to admit I was wrong but I was. This is the most amazing and best smelling cleaner I have, and the only one that will enter my home again!
Greek cleaning power . Excellent choice for household cleaning jobs .
I bought this because I love the other Dr. Bronners soap. So, I figured why not give it a try. I am so glad I did!! Even my husband loves it! I have used it for dishes so far. I have Le Creucet pots and pans that can be difficult to get all of the carmelization off of the bottom (leaving a brown coating on the bottom) I scrub and scrub, reheat water and use baking soda to remove it. So, it can be a long process. The Sal Suds makes quick work of it (about 2 minutes ) compared to a 20+ minute work out with other products. I have never found this particular product in stores, so I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to purchase it on here!
This is one of the best liquid cleaners. It is a very versatile cleaner. I have even been known to use it in my laundry when I've been out of regular detergent. It is a very gentle cleaner.
It's gentle, yes, but it also cuts grease, so don't be afraid to use it in the kitchen!
- Sharmaine H.
If you want the perfect household cleaner, this one is for you. I use it in every room of my house.
It is amazing in the kitchen because it removes grease from pots and pans and even from the stove.
It cleans up the bathroom well, even the soap scum.
What can't this stuff do?
I love this stuff! What can't it do except mow the lawn and cook me dinner? It cleans everything in my house. I use it in almost every room and love that it doesn't have a strong smell and is made with natural ingredients. I also feel good about supporting a family owned business. I am happy to be cleaning the house without all the nasty chemicals most cleaners have.

What did I do before Sal Suds?
I have been using Mr. Clean products for everything. They get things clean, but they are all chock full of chemicals and I don't always feel good about using them around my pets. Sals Suds is different. It is made with natural ingredients and I can use it anywhere.
It is great! I use it on my counters, floors, kitchen and bathroom. I also use it for spot cleaning my carpets and furniture. It is also great in laundry and has no scent so it won't interact with my fabric softeners or bother my allergies. I also like it for cleaning dishes. They come clean easily and the soap rinses off easily. A really great household cleaner and I'm glad I found it!

We have quite a few pets (okay, it might border on a zoo), so I have to clean the carpets pretty regularly. With the pets and children around, I don't want to use harsh detergents. Mixed with some water, this ends up cleaning my carpet particularly well. It does a great job of cleaning off regular dirt stains or other messes that the pets have tracked into the house, but I still haven't been able to get it to remove the Kool-Aid stain from my husband. I might need to try some harsh chemical cleansers for that, but I love using Sal Suds for my regular cleans.
Not a soap but a cleaning oil
Because Dr. Bronner's makes so many liquid soaps, you may be confused into thinking that this is another one.
But this is actually an all purpose house cleaner, and while it's mild enough for daily use and won't harm your skin, it's not intended to be used as a body cleaner.
But as an all purpose cleaner, it's fantastic. No harsh chemicals, and it cleans well and leaves no streak or film. Thrive is also offering this at almost four dollars less than Amazon.
Lysol is gone
It takes education in natural products before you can really make that jump.
I know it took me awhile, but once I decided to go green, everything changed. Dr. Bronner's was a huge part of that leap, and I have a lot of their products in my house. The one thing I never tried was this liquid cleaner.
It's fantastic, great for almost all my household cleaning, including floors walls and countertops. No more lysol for anything, this is a natural cleaner that smells wonderful too.
- Marguerite Hodges
Dr. Bronner's liquid soap has been a staple in my bathroom and kitchen for decades but I had never tried Sal Suds. The most noticeable characteristic is a very strong and pleasant scent of pine oils from fir needle and spruce. Sal Suds is very concentrated and only a couple of drops on a sponge or a moderate squeeze in a bucket of hot water is sufficient. I was a little worried that it would irritate the skin on my hands but it has not.
