About This Brand

Clean, affordable, petroleum-free body lotion. EveryDay Shea is an extension of Alaffia Sustainable Skin Care. Alaffia was founded by Olowo-n’djo Tchala, a Togolese native, as a way to generate funds to conduct community enhancement projects in his home country and other West African nations in order to reduce poverty and gender inequality. Olowo-n’djo believes that Africans can mobilize their natural resources in a sustainable manner to empower their own communities, and that this is a more sustainable avenue towards reducing poverty than waiting for outside aid or for corrupt governments to fall. Alaffia and the Alaffia Shea Butter Cooperative were founded in order to trade the indigenous resource – Shea Butter – in the West to raise proceeds which are then returned to Togo in the form of community projects. EveryDay Shea is a continuation of this philosophy. EveryDay Shea is a value line product that is price-sensitive during this economically difficult time. It provides a...

Love the shampoo, conditioner is kinda eh

While it smells great and has a nice texture...when applied, it's not as silky as conditioners should be, and you can't really work it through your hair without using an obscene amount of it.

Great natural shampoo

I started by using their body wash, and moved onto the shampoo. This shampoo smells great and foams up really well. My hair and scalp feel super clean from it.

Smells great, doesn't clean my fine, wavy hair well

I love this company and the natural ingredients in this shampoo, but it didn't ever really leave my hair feeling clean. I've been using natural shampoos for years now, and didn't love this one. But I DID love the smell, so I've repurposed it as hand soap and it works great for that!

Loved it

Great scent, great price, doubles as a cleaner for the bathtub. No kidding. This stuff and some baking soda and it's sparkling clean and smells great. ;-)

Great Product Great Price

I normally by everyday shea at my local whole foods and they're $10 for each shampoo and conditioner. I love saving money $$

Maybe we're just not a good fit

I bought this with the conditioner, only use on scalp and let the suds mildly rinse the ends of my hair. The feeling of clean hair doesn't last too long, even though I shower at night and don't dry it just to wake up with clean hair, and my scalp started getting dandruff-y. Not a big fan

strong spearmint smell

I ordered this shampoo not realizing it was spearmint instead of peppermint & I don't get along with spearmint at all. Luckily, my husband doesn't mind the smell & will use it up.

Wish it worked for me

I love the smell of the shampoo and it works well for my husband, but (I bought this along with one of their conditioners) one of them makes my hair a very weird texture. I definitely don't use "too much" of either and my roots still are left greasy. I guess I can just use as body wash. I wish they sold it in a smaller bottle.
