Reviews For Arizona Sunset Enchilada Soup Mix
Based on 23 Reviews
Made this vegan by substituting the chicken with a bag of gardein chicken strips. I used edward and sons vegan chicken bouillion cubes for stock, and I also through in a handful of vegan peperjack cheese at the end. I served with Late July multigrain lime tortilla chips. This was so divine and so easy and quick. And I had a big pot. I'll have leftovers for at least the next 4 days.
Will definitely repurchase.
Very good -- nice and rich
This soup is so easy to make. Just add broth, chicken, and verde sauce. I used the medium hot Goya green verde sauce. The soup is suitably spicy and delicious. Highly recommend these simple and healthy soups.
I really enjoy both this soup and the Tortilla soup. They are really easy to make and very flavorful. I add no fat to it so my husband can eat it as well.
New Family Favorite
First time trying it and it became a family favorite. Can easily feed 4. I did add some cuban black beans to round it out a bit more and I loved it. Will certainly purchase more and will try some of the other flavors.
I am a big fan of the Frontier soup mixes. I just tried this one and it is a new favorite. I added some summer veggies I had on hand: an onion, chopped yellow summer squash, watercress, and red bell pepper. I also added chicken broth and ghee and the result was a delcious, healthy soup that lasted me for many meals. These Frontier soup blends make food prep a sinch and whenever people are over when I have just made some, they always comment that my food looks/smells so good! Little do they know how convenient it was to make!
Delicious! Yum!!!! Whole family loves it!
Delicious! Buying more!
I used a rotisserie chicken so it was about 3.5 cups (not the 2 cups as asked for) and I used 8oz or tomato sauce in place of the enchilida sauce. I also added one chopped jalapeño pepper (no seeds.) We loved it and I just ordered more.
Fantastic soup mix!! I love throwing everything in the crockpot and letting it simmer all day. Then it lasts me 3 or 4 days! Just reheat and savor! Wonderful flavor! Perfectly seasoned! I just ordered 3 more bags! Hurry up Fed Ex!! :)
My family of four all liked this soup (not an easy task in my household). It is just enough to feed 4.
Tasty, but not substantial
I like a substantial soup, so I added cooked ground turkey, rice, and black beans. Very flavorful.

This soup has great flavor! Easy to prepare and is great tasting!
delicious and easy to make
This was a very tasty southwestern style soup that even my picky husband and son enjoyed. The only downside is that after you add all the necessary ingredients, it gets rather pricey.
I fixed this prior to my exercise class and left it on the stove for my family. We all loved it and the ease of preparation allowed me some personal down time while still providing a healthy meal for the four of us with plenty left over for lunch the next day. I have ordered more for my pantry. It would be a great camping or emergency meal too.
SOOO Delicious! Worth the price and hearty & healthy
Since it has about 4-5 servings, the cost comes out to only ~$1/serving, a really good deal! I followed the recipe on the back and added 6 cups chicken broth, chicken and 1 cup salsa verde and also added extra ingredients like 1 can red kidney beans, 1 large diced tomato and 1/2 chopped onion and it turned out to be so delicious. I threw it all in a crock pot in the morning and left it for about 4 hours, and came back to a large pot of soup that was ready to go for lunch or dinner time! It's great to cook this in a crock pot because you can throw in the chicken raw (even frozen) if you don't have time and it's ready to eat in a few hours. So glad I purchased this and I plan on buying different types of Frontier brand soups in the future. Thanks Thrive!
Great for a family dinner
Very good. Verde salsa that I could find was only medium so I only used 1/2 the amount asked for. I also added sour cream at the end to keep it more mild for kids. I have a family of 7 and used 2 packs. I also added fresh cilantro, green onions and cheese on top. Severed with tortilla chips on the side. It was a hit with all the kids!!!!!! (ages 5-11) I cook mostly from scratch so this a great mid-week cheat, it has quality ingredients so its something I will not feel guilty about giving them.
Simple, But Delicious
This soup was easy to mix up. I used organic canned chicken and green enchilada sauce. We garnished with crushed tortilla chips and shredded cheese. The whole family approved, even the kids!
Easy and delicious!
Im happy i tried this soup mix. Easy to make. Used bnls sknls chicken thighs and added some more corn. Good with Avocado, cheese ,sour cream and crushed tortilla chips.
Awesome on a cold winter day!
Great item to have in your pantry. Was so easy to use and fed our family of six with leftovers for lunch. I added more water to reduce the sodium that comes from the chicken bouillon that is an added ingredient. I also added brown rice with quinoa. It was perfect for all!
Can't believe it was this easy with this much flavor!
If you like a little spicy, this one could be it. I have tried most of Frontier Soups but this was the first time for this one. It really does remind me of a chicken enchilada. Don't skimp on the cheese garnish at the end because it really makes it. I used sharp cheddar that I already had shredded up and put a little bit on top of each bowl.
Lots of flavor
Made this tonight using the recipe on the back. Called for ground turkey and salsa. Lots of flavor, a little heat without being overwhelming. Just ordered 2 more to have on hand.
Super Easy to Make
I live a busy lifestyle but do my best to eat well. This soup is perfect for the fall/winter months and is super easy to make. When I'm really low on time, I just throw it in the crock the night before and make a to-go bowl for at work or to account for long days at work.

There is nothing like good ol' home made enchilada soup. But who has the time these days? This mix takes the guesswork out and takes only as long as adding water and chicken. (I actually use vegetable or chicken stock) I use the fully cooked chicken chunks to make it even easier and cook it on low in the crock while I'm at work and it's all ready for me by the time I get home. An incredible meal!
Love this. Easy to make.
