About This Brand

You see the term “natural” in plenty of places these days, but Nature’s Gate’s products give the term a whole new meaning. Founders Leo and Vladimir turned their vision for this unique company into reality when they hand-collected rainwater, blended it with natural herbs from their herb shop, and created the very first Rainwater Herbal Shampoo approximately 40 years ago. They gave it away to their friends and customers of their store, and soon it became a hit along Venice Beach, California, one day becoming Nature’s Gate. Nature’s Gate intends to combine the power of natural ingredients with innovation and science to create affordable, safe, sustainable, and high quality products. The company is committed to using pure, sustainably harvested herbs, fruits and essential oils—without animal testing or animal-derived ingredients—making all of Nature’s Gate products cruelty free and vegan. Great conditioner that is refreshing to the scalp and nourishing to the hair.

This conditioner smells great but doesn't leave our hair feeling conditioned at all. Can't brush through it and doesn't feel soft. When paying twice as much as Suave, you expect it to work better...sadly, it did not!

- JEG

Great Product

I have long thick hair and I though this conditioner worked very well. Will buy again.

- Kristen

Perfect!

This conditioner absorbs wonderfully into my hair and leaves it feeling soft, smooth and smelling great! This combined with the shampoo worked great to help stop dandruff that both me and my daughter were getting from regular commercial shampoo and conditioners.

- Stephanie

Works okay

It seams to work fine. Not as calming on the scalp as the shampoo. Leaves hair soft but then turns greasy after 12+ hours.

- Samantha

Best for me, not for everyone.

Don't listen to people who say its a good product for everyone. It isn't! It's perfect for me who battles an itchy scalp and oily hair. If your hair issues differ, you shoudn't listen to all these articles about how great tea tree oil and natural shampoo is for you. Pick a natural substance thats good for your hair, not a general claim its good for hair.

Works on itchy scalp

Nature's Gate makes some wonderful hair products, and this tea tree conditioner is one of the best. I use it to soothe my itchy scalp, and it's been working great so far. It has tea tree oil, balm mint and rosemary, all-natural ingredients. It smells great, and it leaves my hair bouncy and full and hydrated. Tea tree is so much better than the chemical-loaded conditioners I used in the past.

- Carrie@Jackson

Too heavy

The smell is pleasant, but this leaves my hair heavy and oily-looking unless I use it just on the very ends of my hair and not near my scalp (which defeats the purpose of the soothing tea tree oil).

- Jessica

Good conditioner for all hair

I like this conditioner because it's natural and isn't weighed down with a lot of chemicals. But the truth is I didn't have any massive problems with my hair, I just wanted to keep it healthy, and this conditioner really does a good job of maintaining bounce, style and thickness.

Great leave in conditioner

I use this with the tee tree shampoo, and together they've made a huge difference in my hair. I've had issues with dry hair and a flaking scalp, and the conditioner has really gone to work on both problems.

I've noticed over the past month that my hair is fuller, more healthy looking and that my scalp doesn't itch or flake anymore. For me, it was important to use both products, and I can't say enough about how good they are for someone who's tried a lot of other conditioners and been disappointed.

Great for Dandruff

This is a perfect conditioner. It's especially designed, with its tea tree oil, to help relieve an itchy scalp or dandruff, so it's especially good if you deal with dandruff like I do. I find that it works best on only the ends of my hair. If I put it on the roots, it seems to weigh down my hair and let it get greasy earlier than it normally does. It has a really nice scent to it, but the fragrance isn't so strong that you can smell it on your hair hours later. Once your hair is dry, you won't be able to smell any of it. It's a great conditioner, and at the price Thrive has it at, I'm getting it way cheaper than my local health foods store.

Good product.

Good packaging and received as promised. Would have rated this a 5 had it smelled better but not bad at all. Maybe if scent was better, my husband would have used sooner. I bought this because he's contracted psoriasis for about 6 months and we've tried different products including Rx meds.
