Reviews For Hydrating & Smoothing Organic Body Lotion - Fresh Fig

Based on 9 Reviews

everyone's tastes are different

I decided to give this try for my dry skin and loved this! I have poor circulation and various skin issues and this felt wonderful, not oily, kept my skin soft well into the next day and while I wasn't sure what to expect from the scent, it was quite pleasant to me.

I hate it.

I tried this on my last order because my Desert Essence was out of stock, I thought it would be OK as it claims to be Organic. WRONG!

It stinks. The first whif smells rancid and the faint perfume at the end it irritating to my sensitive sinuses. It is watery and contains, of all things, Alcohol. Kind of an oxymoron, as alcohol dries skin and is NOT "Hydrating & Smoothing". My hands feel dry and rough as soon as the alcohol dries off.

If your hands are as sensitive and dry as mine (cracked/bleeding/eczema), try Desert Essence. My eczema is GONE. It is rich and thick and the order is delightful, rather than this off-putting smell.

Smells great....almost

I really do like this lotion. However, i noticed that it smells a lot like alcohol, and it appears to be the second ingredient. Not sure why they added alcohol to it in such great amounts. Plus i was looking forward to use this on my daughter who has eczema, but you are supposed to avoid creams with alcohol. Oh well should have read the ingredients. Still give it 5 stars though.

Really happy with it

I like this product and have no problem with the scent, I'm just looking for a decent moisturizer. I'm 80, so what more can I say?

I will check out its toxic grade, but I can't see, just looking at the ingredients, where this product fails the test.

Almost as good as the butter

Nourish Organic also makes a butter in this same flavor, and though I like that just slightly better than this one, this is a really good lotion on its own merits. I think the butter just goes on a little bit more smoothly, without as much grease, and absorbs quicker, but one thing about this lotion is that it does moisturize just about all day, so I'm not losing any value by buying this. In fact, Thrive has this for five dollars less than Amazon. If you're still on the fence about Thrive, give it a shot for a month. I guarantee you the savings and quality will be better than what any of these other site are offering.

Complimentary

This lotion is very complimentary to my fresh fig body wash and it adds moisture to my skin that I regularly lose in our very dry weather. My skin is so soft after using this and the light fig scent is to die for. It goes on light and absorbs quickly . It is also super affordable through thrive. I was paying over $12 at or local health foods and good store and through Thrive I'm paying less than $7! I love this service and am happy every time I save some money
