Why You’ll Love It

Badger raises the bar for hair care with a low-lather shampoo that ditches the plastic. This gentle cleanser is super concentrated and can last as long as a 12 oz. shampoo bottle. The formula is completely plant-based with no harsh detergents, only organic ingredients like jojoba and baobab oils that condition your hair. Use it as a body wash, too.

Hair felt squeaky in shower, but hard to rinse. Left a film. Kinda greasy looking.

First time using a shampoo bar, it works great as soap but didn’t like how my hair felt after using it.

Lovely scent, read the soft water note first

I really wanted to find the perfect shampoo bar (plastic free! Low waste!) and wish I could give a more accurate review but we have hard water and it just wasn’t effective. I didn’t read the fine print in the photo where it says “works best with soft water” until after purchasing as trying it. It did smell great, and the lather was nice so I’m leaving 5 stars. It’d be helpful for the soft water note to be added to the product description - I feel bad that this will go to waste, so maybe we’ll be able to use when traveling or something.

Leaves waxy layer on hair

I tried it several times and made real sure to rinse properly, but I give up. The residue on my hair is awful. Maybe it’s my local tap water that doesn’t work with this product, regardless, I do not recommend it.

Great Shampoo Bar!

I bought this in my quest to find the best shampoo bar for my hair, in hopes of less waste! This works great and smells great. The only reason I may not order it again, is because Thrive also has Acure Shampoo bar that is also a body bar, and to me, that does more for my money. If that isn't a consideration, then I would recommend this very much!!

No plastic + great. Sticky hair = not so great

I have switched to shampoo bars quite a while back and was excited to find one on thrive. We tried this one twice, but unfortunately the hair comes up almost like coated by a thin layer of wax. It is hard to comb and feels dry. Definitely requires conditioner (which my previous one didn't necessarily require). So it's solvable if you're ok with conditioner. I just make my own with egg, honey, and lemon (which I freeze in ice cubes), but it's still not my first choice in terms of shampoo bars.
