The first thing my kiddos said when I pulled it out of the box was “Mom that’s so pretty!” and truly it is a gem! Made tea in it for the first time last night and it was great. Whistles and steams just like my grandmas use to. Great purchase!

It does the job and its actually a really cute kettle, the color is very vibrant. The only thing is that I find it a little uncomfortable and difficult to pour out the water once it gets to the end. Still a pretty good deal. Bought it a year ago and use it literally every day and still in great condition.

Adequate

I've only owned 1 tea kettle before this one, so I can't compare it to others. However, I'm happy with it. I gave 4 stars only bc I have to hold it almost upside down to pour the last cup. It then splatters a bit. I typically heat only 1-2 cups at a time anyway.

Pretty But is a Horrible Pour

I love the color and it is very easy to clean the outside when my husband is messy at cooking dinner. The handle being right over where you need to pour water in is kind of a pain. What is more of a pain and why it only gets 2 stars is how the water comes out of it. I do pour over coffee in the morning so I only heat up exactly the amount of water I need. It sloshes out horribly (versus a nice stream with other pots) which is not so great for a pour over which then sloshes the coffee grounds up the the sides of the filter. Also I have to turn this kettle completely upside down and jiggle it to get the last 4 to 6 ounces to come out due to the poor design. Again, not a nice clean pour as other pots

Pretty, but handle broke in 2 months!

Posted   by Sarah from NEW YORK, New York
I love the color and shape of this kettle. I bought one in the mustard color. Unfortunately, after 2 months use, the handle broke. You can no longer squeeze the button to open the lid--so I have to open the hot lid by myself. Also the handle heats up when you boil it, so I use a pot holder. Giving it 2 stars for aesthetics but really bummed the handle broke.

Pretty But Some Design Malfunctions

Posted   by Lindsey from PARKER, Colorado
I needed a new teapot, and thought this one was pretty. It holds a decent amount of water and the color is true to the picture. The problem is, there is no way to permanently lift the whistle. If you want to keep the water hot for a second cup of tea, you have to play with the temperature for a while to get it low enough that it doesn't constantly whistle, or turn it off and re-heat it. Also, it is hard to fill through the spout, and if you take the lid off to refill it you risk a steam burn. I may just break the whistle off...
