Does a great job cleaning the water. but it filters painfully slow. My husband and I drink a lot of water and I feel like all we do is refill the pitcher.

I love my Soma pitcher! It looks beautiful and makes our tap water, which is full of minerals and really hard, soft and delicious. We drink so much more water. And even my pets seem to like it more since my cat now meows near the water pitcher when she wants some.

Beautiful but not terrible functional

I really lived the look of this pitcher but it didn’t function very well. We had to refill/top it up it after nearly every use. We had to take the filter out and shake it around quite often to remedy slow flow through. Also about 3 months into having it the plastic near the handle cracked causing us not to be able to hold it by the handle. It wasn’t dropped or damaged in any way, it just cracked form the weight of the pitcher and holding it by the handle.

My only complaint would be the relatively slow filtering of the water, otherwise great product and design .

A simple attractive filter system. I have loved it for this last year, replacing filters semi regularly. Careful to not overfill/be patient

I love the look of the Soma but that is all. Slow, moldy, etc- just like others have said.

I don't know how or why but water just tastes better from this pitcher. Not to mention it's so stylish and pretty. I waited a while to buy one because of the cost but it has definitely been worth the investment. I love the wooden handle!

Beautiful, but is a tad slow and can get a little dirty

Posted   by Alison from MARINA DEL REY, California
Agree with other reviewers that this pitcher is both beautiful and also a little slow to filter. Worth it though!

This pitcher looks awesome and holds a good amount of water, but it is SOO slow and often will stop filtering/dripping altogether. Every few weeks or so I will fill it up, walk away, and come back to see absolutely zero water filtered. So annoying! I've seemed to solve the problem by taking out the filter and submerging it in a bowl of water for about 15 minutes. According to the Soma website, that's the best way to get the air bubbles out. It fixed the problem, but it's just annoying to think about. I'm happy with the taste of the water, but due to the sheer annoyance, I would not purchase this again.
