Reviews For Salted Almond Chocolate Mexicano Discs
Based on 18 Reviews
I am not a big chocolate fan, but this is delicious! It's not too sweet, but is a perfect flavor when you need something sweet. It is a bit gritty, which adds a nice texture.
It's difficult to stop eating this chocolate
The texture is somewhat gritty, but it's intriguing as well. Not as dark as chocolate can be, in color or taste, but definitely an enjoyable chocolate.
This is not your creamy smooth textured type of chocolate, and it's not meant to be. It's a lovely stone ground texture with great flavor and few ingredients. Wonderful taste.
I'm a chocolate fiend with many allergies. I love these little chocolate discs. The texture is rather grainy because of the the stone grinding process I think; but it is not objectionable.
Luv this Stuff
Great treat after dinner. Hits the chocolate spot!

I found it
I had been looking for this type of chocolate for a long time. When I found it on Thrive Market I snatched it right up. Years ago I had a very nice trip to Mexico and Central America, loved this type chocolate and was trying all this time to find it at home. When I found these discs on Thrive Market, I put them in my shopping cart for sure. Yet another search finalized.
I am a chocolate lover and this is one of the finest chocolate bars I have ever eaten!! I could not detect any almonds but the incredible flavor was totally awesome. Definitely getting more.
Really good, sugar content is for 1/2 the pack
Loved this chocolate. I read the nutrition carefully & my understanding is the 20 grams of sugar is for half the pack. If I figure right each little sliced section is only 2 sugars. Hope I am right on this one-because all their chocolate bars are wonderful.
Stone ground perfection!
Taza has a beautiful soft-stone-ground texture to it's discs and chocolate bars. If you've never had stone ground chocolate before, this variety is a wonderful one to start with. It's a non-smooth mouth feel, but the texture isn't harsh or jagged. Smoothly gritty, wonderfully almondy - this is our second favorite flavor in the Taza disc variety (coffee is a HUGE favorite of mine!, hopefully Thrive will carry this flavor soon!)
If you love chocolate, and are either in love with or want to try a stone ground texture, and love a hint of salt and almonds, this is your disc =)
Joyful: best tasting and best texture
The mini bites are perfect, so rich, it satisifes the craving. Last night i grated a few squares and sprinkled on my newman's own popcorn. YUMMMMMM!
I must have confused the nutritional info for this chocolate with another. This has a very high sugar content, the primary ingredient, that you can feel in your mouth. Still, the chocolate comes through loud and clear, with a mild almond flavor. Lush, if you can tolerate the sugar!
Heaven on earth!
This chocolate is amazing! I'd love to see Thrive carrying MORE flavors! The two they have are great, but there are some others that are awesome too!
I guess i didn't know what stone ground meant. It falls apart very easily into powder; hard to eat. Not that chocolatey.. very powdery, although the salt adds nice flavor. Wierd. I wouldn't get it again.
What a surprise. I could eat this all day long. Perfect sweet/salt combo.
I enjoyed the chocolate. It was powdery, but taste is good. I like the pie-like divisions. It gives a quick, satisfying fix for chocolate lovers.
Really good...a little powdery, but its stone ground. Great mix of chocolate and almonds all ground together with a hint of salt.
Excellent little nibble
I bought this for the first time and thought it was great tasting. It was small enough for me to enjoy and not feel guilty about eating it!
