About This Brand

EveryDay Coconut is an extension of Alaffia Sustainable Skin Care and EveryDay Shea. Alaffia was founded by Olowo-n’djo Tchala, a Togolese native, as a way to generate funds to conduct community enhancement projects in his home country and other West African nations in order to reduce poverty and gender inequality. Olowo-n’djo believes that Africans can mobilize their natural resources in a sustainable manner to empower their own communities, and that this is a more sustainable avenue towards reducing poverty than waiting for outside aid or for corrupt governments to fall. Alaffia and the Alaffia Coconut Cooperative were founded in order to trade the indigenous resource – Coconut Oil – in the West to raise proceeds which are then returned to Togo in the form of community projects. EveryDay Coconut is a continuation of this philosophy. EveryDay Coconut is a value line product that is price-sensitive during this economically difficult time. It provides a way for health-conscious...

Reviews For Fair Trade Coconut Conditioner Normal-Dry Hair

Based on 12 Reviews

Great smell, excellent size, just not as moisturizing.

The price for this amount of product is great. The formula is a little thin and doesn't make my hair AS smoothing as other conditioners. It does go a lot faster then the shampoo which I do love.

Smooth Results

Since I started using the Everyday Coconut shampoo and conditioner my hair seems to be clean, shiny and smooth for longer periods. Very good prices for the large bottles. I also don't have to use much to get great results. Very pleased.

Absolutely <3 this stuff!

This conditioner is not one that you should think of as typical "conditioner" as it is made from coconut oil and works like an oil-based cleanser/conditioner such as Wen. While the shampoo will lather slightly, the conditioner does not really lather. I generally work in to my scalp and then sort of twist it in down to the ends (I have very long and wavy hair). Since using this product for the past few weeks my hair has been silky soft extremely curly, and lustrously shiny! Another thing to keep in mind when using this conditioner is that you will not want to try combing it out while wet because the hair doesn't really relax until it is dry :-)

Patience is the key

It takes a while to detox your hair, so it won't be the most glamorous texture for few months. I learned to be patient and made my hair so healthy.

Disappointed all the way around

I really wanted to like this product. The price was right especially for organic. But I was disappointed right off the bat that it really didn't smell like you would think a coconut conditioner would. After applying, I didn't get the softening/detangling effect I use condtioner for, it was like I hadn't used any. I kept using it anyway, hoping it was a consistant use thing. But the thing that finally made me throw away the barely 1/4 used bottle was my hair dresser commented she saw flakes of some sort of product in my hair. Since this was the only new product I had tried, I decided to give up on it.

love the smell

I love the brands products, they smell good, without all the added chemicals, and priced great . this conditioner in particular has a runny consistency and doesn't seem to soften my hair. I've been using it for about a month now, so I'll give it a few more months as I read the other review said there may be a detox period.

It didn't do the trick for me. It leaves my hair tangled.

I have thick hair and this just doesn't cut it. Doesn't really have a good smell either. I was hoping for a coconut smell, but nope.

Smells great, The texture is a little bit too loose/watery for me. I like thick conditioners.

Love the company not the product

has a squeekey, not soft feel

Detoxes Your Hair

I know, sounds crazy, but this product does detox your hair of built-up junk. Which means, for the first month or two, your hair texture will be pretty funky! I have been using this conditioner, and same brand of shampoo, for about a year now and it works great (and I love the value and minimal ingredients!!). But again, if you are switching from chemical-based products, or even products with a LOT of excess ingredients, expect your hair to detox for the first few months, after that, it will be the healthiest its ever been!

wish it worked for me

I love the smell of the conditioner and it works well for my husband, but (I bought this along with one of their shampoos) one of them makes my hair a very weird texture. I definitely don't use "too much" of either and my roots still are left greasy. I guess I can just use as body wash. I wish they sold it in a smaller bottle.
