About This Brand

Green Pasture Products™ is a family owned business started by Dave and Barb Wetzel in 2000. Our business focus is to provide high-quality sacred-food oils just as they were made prior to the industrialized food and farming revolution. High-Vitamin Butter Oil is our foundation product that all our work has blossomed through. Dr. Weston Price discovered High-Vitamin Butter Oil back in the 1930's but the pinnacle of his discovery was when he combined Cod Liver Oil with High-Vitamin Butter Oil. Today we produce the High-Vitamin Butter Oil, and we ferment the historically sacred cod and skate liver oils. Fermenting the livers of fish to extract the oil is an old world practice that may go back as far as biblical times. During the 1850s was the beginning of the industrial food revolution and the first time cod liver oil manufacturing changed from it's historical sacred roots to an industrialized food. We've turned back the clock and restored these sacred foods to their roots. We...

Reviews For Blue Ice Royal Butter Oil / Fermented Cod Liver Oil Blend - Non-Flavored

Grain of salt

Extremely rancid, potentially dangerous to health. The oil isn't even made from cod livers. Production methods shrouded in mystery. Do a little research into potential dangers before swallowing this kool aid. There are a lot of better (genuine) cod liver oils on the market

Improves overall health

We've been taking this for 2 years and the overall health of our family has improved. Fewer colds/ear infections/illnesses, cleared eczema, better growth patterns for young children, positive spaces developing between baby teeth in preschooler to accomodate adult teeth which will soon be coming in, no cavities since starting, etc. Worth every penny.

Amazing

I can't say enough how much I love this stuff--it makes my skin clearer, I feel better when I take it... It really is wonderful. Does it taste fishy? You bet it does. But I actually really enjoy the tase.

Excellent product, but capsule version bypasses bad flavor

Since other reviewers commented on the bad flavor of this amazing product (and I agree - the taste is pretty bad), I thought I'd point out that the capsule form is SO much easier. Taken at the start of a larger meal, I hardly taste it going down and have never had "fishy burps" in over a year of taking it.

the must have supplement

Marked improvement in my hormone health after a few weeks of taking it. It's now part of my daily supplement regimen. I'm a foodie so I look forward to tasting new foods & this was a bit rough for about 2 weeks. Now I enjoy the flavor.

The taste does get less bad over time

This is something I really had to learn how to take. The taste is horrible but after using it daily for over a year I finally got used to it. And as said before it has so manny good benefits. I did not get sick once since I started to take this daily, I am not saying it is only because of this, but I do think the vit D helped boost my immume system.

Awesome product besides the taste

While this product is the best source of vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin K, EPA and DHA I've seen in combination, I really struggle with the taste.

I would recommend freezing it in units of your normal dosage so you can swallow it quickly.

Once you can get over the taste, it's definitely worth the benefits. I take this daily and have seen a lot of improvements in my health, especially my skin. It's definitely worth trying since Thrive's price is much lower than everywhere else I've found this stuff.
