During a casual lunch in Paso Robles, a group of winemakers—including Amanda Gortner—wondered why there wasn’t a local, light-bodied wine available. That was enough inspiration for Gorter to create Paso Verde Winery in an effort to reintroduce classically popular wines with a central California spin. To craft a low-alcohol wine that allows you to enjoy nuanced flavors with less impact, Gortner blends several grape varietals to create complex sips with a hint of effervescence.
