Quinoa is what is known as an ‘ancient grain’. It has remained unchanged for thousands of years, holding the same form that was familiar to the ancient Incas. The reason it’s remained a staple throughout centuries is because it’s known to provide incredible health benefits, all of which Thrive Market is going to share:
- 25 percent of all the fatty acids in quinoa are heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, promoting better heart health for those who consume it.
- 8 percent of those fatty acids are Omega-3 fatty acids, proven to help promote better heart health.
- Cholesterol free and sodium free
- High levels of iron, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and fiber
- It contains all 9 essential amino acids
- Contains high levels of vitamin E
- Contains several B-vitamins as well
- Is a whole grain that provides more complex carbohydrates and delivers higher nutritional values with it.
- Contains high levels of protein for improved muscle strength and energy levels. Because of its high protein to carb ratio, NASA believes it to be a great food for long-term space flights.
The health benefits of brown rice
Rice is one of the most commonly eaten foods in the world, supplying about half of the daily calories for half the human population. Brown rice, specifically, is one of the most nutritious versions of grain since it contains a rich outer layer, known as the hull. The hull is what gives it ample nutrients such as fiber and magnesium, making it a great health food option. It also provides numerous additional benefits including the following:
- High levels of manganese, copper, niacin, and magnesium
- Better energy levels due to increased fatty acid composition
- Improved weight loss has been linked to whole grain intake like brown rice
- High levels of selenium helps provide better thyroid metabolism
- High fiber helps with digestion and reduced colon cancer risk
- Brown rice has been shown to lower cholesterol levels as well
- Whole grains like brown rice are linked to improved cardiovascular health
The health benefits of garlic
Garlic is more than just a staple ingredient in numerous recipes – it’s also one of the healthiest foods out there. Here are some of the benefits that medical science has linked to garlic.
- It is low in calories
- It contains high levels of vitamin B6
- It contains 23 percent of the RDA level of manganese
- It also contains minerals like calcium, copper, and potassium
- Garlic is linked to reduced cold symptoms and cold durations
- Garlic can help reduce blood pressure
- Garlic could help lower the risk of heart disease and cholesterol
- It has high levels of vitamin C
- It has been linked to reduced risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease

What a find! This is my go to side dish with any chicken, fish or pork dish I may be serving.
Excellent side dish
I don't use a microwave, so I empty into a skillet with a bit of water and warm steam til hot. It's extra good with added veggies like broccoli or mushrooms !

Never was a fan but this has changed my mind. My family enjoys eating quinoa now which makes me feel pretty good. Getting sick of making them pasta and potatoes.

I love it!!!!❤️
I wasn't sure about this product but got it to pair with the Taste of India products I ordered, I'm so glad I did because they were great together!

Great product, great values
Delicious and ethically sourced, can't be said of most quinoa. I wish they'd come out with an all-quinoa product, this one is mostly rice
Too much garlic
Great product but the garlic is overpowering. They need to adjust the garlic downward. Otherwise it would be 5 stars
This is the best so far that i have tasted. We use it to make lots of dishes adding fresh cooked vegetables and lots of other goodies to it.
YES to Quinoa & BRown Rice
Quinoa and brown rice are easy to make, but it takes time. If you don't want to take the time THIS is the product for you. So quick, easy and delicious!
Garlic flavor is not overpowering. Love the quinoa and rice combo. Could be eaten as a side or with something over it.
After trying this I ended up ordering 3 more bags! So easy to make and tastes delicious! It is something I will Always have on hand at home.
I love having this stuff in my pantry at all times! Not only is it delicious, but it is beyond convenient. I usually eat it with a some veggies or meat. It is great to come home after a long day and be able to quickly whip up a tasty meal and have it be healthy! Highly recommend!
I recently moved into a bachelor apartment, so I don't have a stove, or an oven. I worry about all of the additives that you often find in instant food. Thankfully, this has nothing that worries me at all!
The garlic flavor is pretty light, and the quinoa gives it a nutty taste. I usually make a whole package of this, and add some pre-cooked chicken or salmon, YUM! It cooks in 90 seconds, so it's super convenient! I'll probably keep eating this even after I move someplace with a full kitchen.

Love this combo!
Had this as a side for an Indian chicken dish we'd made. I immediately recognized the texture of the quinoa in there. After having this entree twice already with rice, I wasn't ready for the snappy different this quinoa and rice packet could make to the meal!! Try it, you'll love it!
quick and tasty
This is a great product. It tastes wonderful and is so quick to prepare! I keep Seeds of Change Quinoa and Brown Rice with Garlic on hand at all times.
My husband and I LOVE this!!!! We could eat this every day !! It's like the invention of ice cream only it's good for you.
Love the rice!
This rice is absolutely delicious!
My family eats this all the time! I am probably the world's pickiest eater, but have been trying to at least make some healthier substitutions. This is soooo tasty. Good just as it is, or can add a touch of butter, sea salt, and pepper if you want to give a bit more moisture and another dimension to the flavor.
