Thick and Filling
I tried all of these Indian soups and this one was good, one of the most filling. Not my top choice, but would definitely try again. Perfect for a chilly day.
quick and fast
I love lentils and this was a fast and quick meal , good by itself or on top of rice

I had always wanted to try this but had doubts that it would taste good so when Costco had it set up as a sample to try, I did. I loved it. Quick and easy for those days that you don't feel like cooking.

Excellent entree choice coupled with rice
I mix this with some organic wild rice and heat to serve. Filling, nutritious, and delicious. I only wish that Tasty Bites would come out with an organic line!
Tastes like chili, but a more ethnic/indian flavored chili. 4* because it tasted great and made for a good side dish for the fam and not a 5* because it somewhat tasted like instant food if you know what i mean.
Tastes good but...
It has a ton of sodium! 21% daily value per serving which is half of the bag. It's good for something quick, but I don't think it should be consumed on a regular basis.
I am so impressed with this product. It's so tasty, with minimal ingredients/processing for an inexpensive, easy meal on busy nights. My husband LOVES this when he's left to fend for himself at dinner time. It's yummy over rice or quinoa and it's also a great base if you have some extra time to sautee some peppers and onions or throw in some baby spinach to add some veggies.
try this one!
If you like lentils and Indian food in general, I recommend this product. I chose it based on previous favorable reviews and they weren't wrong. It's also a great vehicle for those of us who want to add turmeric and other healthful spices to our diets. I like it either in a bowl by itself when I'm in a real hurry, or over pilaf. Either way, a tasty meal in a pouch.
delicious and easy!
I LOVE this brand. And I love this particular flavor. Best part about this purchase is having it on hand so my teenager can make herself an easy dinner.
Sometimes you just need some real food that's real convenient, and this is a good option! Also great to add to homemade chili.
Not my fav
This tasted like chilli to me and not really Indian. Not spicy at all. Don't think I will buy this again.
Yummy, fast (even on the stove) and nothing too gross ingredients-wise. Super product. A bit spicy but good. Went over well with my kids.
Tasty, but Salty
This is quite delicious and great for a quick, on the go meal. It's filling and hearty for cold days requiring a hot lunch. The only downside is 510mg of salt, if eaten with a lot of rice, or split the serving for two, would offset the sodium intake per serving.
On the run snack
If you enjoy Indian food, this is a great and easy way to whip up something delicious.
I don't have a lot of time to eat during the day, but I take this with me, usually with a side of rice or vegetables. It's a healthy meal that doesn't way me down all day, and it's low in fat, which is important as I'm over 40 now and I have to watch what I eat. This tastes a lot like the lentils I have at my favorite Indian restaurant.

Makes a quick meal
I love Indian food, so buying these lentils was a great way for me to make something quick and easy.
There's really on prep time, you just heat it up and use it however you want. I usually just heat and pour over fragrant rice, for a protein packed meal that tastes wonderful. There's nothing but natural stuff in here, so it's low in sugar and saturated fat.

Not Super Spicy
I love Indian food, and the spicier the better. This is a great Madras Lentils, but it isn't particularly spicy. It has more of a mild taste that's very full and flavorful. I usually add more spicing in order to heat it up a bit, but it tastes pretty good (though not spicy) on its own. It's easy to make too.

ery easy to make
The meaty, tasty flavor of the beans is wonderful. It is perfect in size and very easy to make. It is full of protein and fiber which I really like.
