About This Brand

Tea that is rich with flavor and healthful purpose. Our story begins in 1969 when Yogi Bhajan, an inspired and inspiring teacher of holistic living, started teaching yoga in America. He shared the wisdom and knowledge of Ayurveda and healthy living that he had mastered in India with his students while serving a specially spiced tea, which they affectionately named "Yogi Tea." The recipe contained five traditional Ayurvedic spices: cardamom seed, cinnamon bark, clove bud, ginger root and black pepper. When blended and brewed, these delicious spices leave you feeling vibrant and alive, while boosting overall well-being. Intrigued by the complex flavor and inherent health benefits of this unique combination of spices, it wasn't long before several of the yogi's students were inspired to brew their own "Yogi Tea."In 1984 this grassroots endeavor blossomed into the Yogi Tea Company. Packages of the rough, dried spices began to appear in natural foods stores throughout Southern California....

Great Product

I work from home while raising 3 young children, so I know what stress is. Every day brings new stress to my life, and I just don't have time for it. So, I drink this delicious tea. It really works at stress relief. I love that it contains lavender, since I often use lavender for my aromatherapy stress relief anyhow.

Interesting Flavor

I do notice a difference when I drink this tea, as far as my stress level goes. I like to drink it at night, because I helps me be able to get to sleep faster, it's relaxing. It took me a bit to get used to the lavender flavor though. If you've never had something with lavender flavor it can take some getting used to.

Super tasty!

I love, love, love this tea. It is very pleasing, in both taste and smell, and that alone would cause a calming effect. But there is also a great herbal blend going on here, and it works just right for me in my hectic day to give me a small dose of tranquility to keep me going.

One of my new favorites, I'm very glad to have tried this.

Excellent Tea

This tea is very flavorful, even without sugar, and very relaxing. The scent of the brewed tea is relaxing in itself.

Non drowsy effect

I like this tea. I've noticed that it really relaxes my body without me feeling drowsy or drugged. It eases my muscles and I feel a general sense of contentment, which helps me to sleep at night. I only drink this at night as I like how it prepares me for bed. It has a strong lavender flavor, so if that's not something you enjoy, you should try the detox version or the ginger one.

They should fill the water cooler with this tea!

Seriously, this Yogi Honey Lavender Stress Relief Tea should be a staple in every office building around the world! I've always read lavender reduces stress, but never proved it to myself. An elderly co-worker had a box and offered me a cup after a particularly difficult meeting. I actually began to relax a little and enough calm energy to finish the day

A few of us on my floor take turns purchasing this life saving tea each month. We each have a membership to Thrive that saves us money on this and so many healthy products. Win-Win for us all!

Stress Free and Loving It

It has been an extremely stressful time here with us closing on a house, getting my son the therapy he needs, home school, among other things going on. While I don't drink this Honey Lavender tea regularly, it is a great tea to sit down and take a breather with.

I really enjoy the flavor and it really seems to relax me. I try not to drink it in the morning or mid day because it really has a way of relaxing me to the point I am sleepy. This, however, makes a great night time tea. I like to sip it while in a nice warm bubble bath before bed. It really just helps drain away the stress of the day and I find I am able to take on the day much better the next day. I really love this tea and like to stay stocked up so I never run out.

- Samantha

Great for a calm and relaxing night

There is nothing i love more than to curl up with a hot cup of tea at night, especially when it's cold out. Most nights I do this with whatever flavor of tea suits my mood of the day. However, some nights I need a little extra help relaxing.

After a long, tough work day there is nothing I love more than this honey lavender tea. It makes the stress just melt away. It has a wonderful taste, and it works great to relax me.
