Why You’ll Love It

Our Lemon Ginger tea is based on a traditional formula that supports digestion, eases minor stomach upset and provides a refreshing herbal pick-me-up. We use Organic Ginger, used for centuries by Ayurveda practitioners to support digestion and warm the metabolism. The sourness of Lemon provides the perfect counterpoint to the piquant-sweet taste of Ginger. Licorice and Peppermint add sophisticated nuance to the formula. Enjoy a cup of Lemon Ginger tea when your tummy needs a little taming, when you need to reinvigorate, or when you simply want a delicious, healthy drink.* *These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. About This Brand

Tea that is rich with flavor and healthful purpose. Our story begins in 1969 when Yogi Bhajan, an inspired and inspiring teacher of holistic living, started teaching yoga in America. He shared the wisdom and knowledge of Ayurveda and healthy living that he had mastered in India with his students while serving a specially spiced tea, which they affectionately named "Yogi Tea." The recipe contained five traditional Ayurvedic spices: cardamom seed, cinnamon bark, clove bud, ginger root and black pepper. When blended and brewed, these delicious spices leave you feeling vibrant and alive, while boosting overall well-being. Intrigued by the complex flavor and inherent health benefits of this unique combination of spices, it wasn't long before several of the yogi's students were inspired to brew their own "Yogi Tea."In 1984 this grassroots endeavor blossomed into the Yogi Tea Company. Packages of the rough, dried spices began to appear in natural foods stores throughout Southern California....

Too much licorice flavor

In general, Lemon Ginger Tea is my favorite, but this brand has too much licorice root for me, because to me, it makes it taste like it has artificial sweetener (which I don't like), and leaves a licorice aftertaste. I hope I'll get used to it because I bought several boxes.
I love how Thrive follows up with its customer service, though, and hope to buy other products in the future.
I like the quotations on the tea bag string tags. Very upbeat.

Good Blend

I like the combo of ginger with lemon. This is a comforting tea to drink when I'm sitting by the window, reading, and it's chilly outside.

Yum!

First day I tried it, and I do like it. Not too bland by itself, but I'm sure would taste better with honey or sugar.

Healthy Tea with a kick!

The recipe has changed since I last purchased this (prior to Thrive). Previously it was vividly lemony. Now it has more definite notes of ginger. It's excellent for my digestion. In order to get a citrus taste I combine one Yogi Lemon Ginger and one Tazo wild sweet orange tea bag and I much prefer the combination. I highly recommend it for digestive issues.

Great combo

This is my go to hot beverage. Add a little honey and it's perfect!

Not enough ginger

I usually buy ginger tea from Traditional Medicinals, but it was way too hot for me, so I wanted something different. I bought Yogi because I'd tried their vanilla tea and like it quite a bit.

But this ginger tea is not hot enough, ironic, since I wanted something less spicy than the one I used to drink. But I think the lemon sort of undercuts the power of the ginger, and leaves the flavor of this tea kind of in between lemony and spicy, but not enough of either one.

I stand by this tea for life

I've used Yogi ginger tea for a few weeks now, and it's the best ginger tea I've ever tasted. IT doesn't overwhelm my taste buds, and I love the way the lemon tang offsets the spiciness that is there. No other natural product eases my upset stomach as quickly or as thoroughly as ginger tea. It also leaves my breath smelling fresh and natural. I love this tea!

Does What It Claims

Yogi Tea makes some delicious tea flavors, and this is no exception. It has an expiration date as most of the ingredients are organic and not full of preservatives. This tea was specifically designed to aid digestion, ease upset stomach, and provide caffeine-free energy. I've found that it does all of those things particularly well - especially providing energy. I'm not sure if it's the lemon flavor or something else, but I usually feel a bit more energetic after I drink some of this yummy tea. It has a very noticeable lemon taste to it, so if you don't like lemon, this maybe isn't the tea for you.

Like my ginger without lemon

I love ginger tea. It's great for a tummy ache. I don't like the lemon that they added to this though. Lemon works great for soar throats, but it seems to make my stomachs worse.

I have used this tea when I have had the flu, and it does seems to help when you have a combination of symptoms!

This tea helps ease occasional indigestion and gas.

This tea helps ease occasional indigestion and gas. On top of that, the flavor is really good and it is very soothing and relaxing. I regularly drink it as well as other teas from yogi tea.

Great for what ails you

I am not a big fan of lemon flavored tea. I like adding lemon and honey to my tea when I am not feeling well, but normally lemon zinger style teas turn me off. However, the Lemon Ginger tea from Yogi tea is a on a whole new level.

This wonderful tea fills in for me anytime I am not feeling well, and don't have some lemon juice on hand (which does happen on occasion). I like that the ginger content helps soothe an upset stomach, while the lemon works as an astringent, cleaning bacteria from the throat and system.
