REALLY Good and Safe For Me
I have become intolerant to GMO corn, so finding this Bob's non-GMO has been a blessing. I can eat corn again! I made grits for the first time in years and it was heaven. Then, since I had made too much, I saved the rest in the fridge. The next day, it had puffed up even more and turned into masa. I mashed it up and had it under fresh steamed veggies. Yum! Now it's time for me to make tamales.

I'm from the South. I don't know diddly about polenta. But I do know grits. These are fabulous! Good corn taste. And despite what the package says, don't eat them with sugar or milk! That's for oatmeal, cream of wheat, cream of rice,etc. Grits with eggs, bacon or ham, instead of hash browns for breakfast. Cook with butter, yes, but a little salt and pepper too. Grits are a savory food...shrimp and grits, chicken and grits for dinner. These are great tasting grits, and the prettiest golden yellow in color! I love them!

I love these grits! I served them with eggs and put cheddar cheese in mine with some hot sauce and a dollop of sour cream. Yum. Tonight I'm thinking of making waffles with cheddar and diced jalapenos with them. Sooo many delicious ways to use them and they are a good quality, healthy food source. I highly recommend buying this product.
Like Grandma used to make
My southern grandmother made yellow grits for us when I was a kid and used to send us a big jug of them every so often. Could only get white ones up north which did not nearly compare. These are every bit as good as I remember from my childhood!
Love this for breakfast!
Cooking is super easy: I follow the package directions & use a wire whisk to minimize lumps after letting the mixture rest a few minutes. Once in the bowl, I add a touch olive oil, turmeric & sea salt and often add cut up sun-dried tomatoes for a yummy, savory hot breakfast that really sticks with you. When in the mood I also add a little sriracha sauce to spice it up. Delish!
Best I've had
I'm something of a grits expert, having been raised in a small town in Mississippi, and even now living in the D.C. area, I love eating grits. I've used Bob's stuff for years, and this polenta corn grits are right up there as about the best I've had. It takes about 20 minutes to make a good plate of grits, and I usually stuff then in green or red peppers and enjoy a healthy meal without too much guilt.

If you're wondering if this Bob's Red Mill product is gluten free, it is, but it's not labeled that way. But corn is a naturally gluten-free grain, so this is gluten safe. It's also really good, and I use it to make southern-style grits, which I loved when I was kid growing up in Mobile. These are also non-GMO too, which is a bonus, and the grits taste wonderful with low-sodium gravy that I make.

Terrific taste and texture!
I would recommend this highly to anybody who loves grits and knows how to cook them. These are like SUPER GRITS and have DELICIOUS corn flavor. We have Bob's Red Mill Organic grits polenta about once a week with salad and /or greens of some sort, especially in the winter and everyone always raves.
