About This Brand

Healthy, great-tasting organic foods.HistoryWe’re a family of organic farmers and their ilk, descended from more farmers and more ilk. The seed of our company was planted back in the ‘30s, when Rupert Stephens inherited the family farm: Mountain Valley Farm, 89 acres of hard living, a place to grow field berries and a family.Even by Depression-era standards, where sheer inventiveness kept families going through times of scarcity, Grandpa Rupert was an odd duck. He horrified his farm neighbors by using sawdust as mulch. Rupert found ways to work with it, turning in rich crops of berries and vegetables. In 1951 his treatise on his unorthodox farming methods was published as Sawdust is my Slave.Arran Stephens grew up on that unconventional farm and came away with a lifelong love of soil and nature. His fondest memories are of helping his parents gather and spread kelp on the fields, planting corn with his father and wandering through the farm eating sun-ripened berries.Arran followed a...

Love these! So happy there's an organic alternative to Pop Tarts.

Kids love!

I'd rather have my kids eat these than the regular pop tarts!

better than poptarts

okay - we all know about poptarts and how much bad it has in them. Which is why I would stay away from them but honestly I love strawberry poptarts - but would hold myself off. Just looking at the things that are contained....thank goodness for this organic frosted strawberry pastries !!!

Similar to poptart but better! I like how the frosting isn't too much, just a thin layer and the jam inside isn't too sweet.

I finished my box and can't wait to order another. Although, I ordered the berry one as well - and I'm hoping it'll be just as good as the strawberry one.

I was afraid, as many people are when trying to switch to more organic foods, that the flavor would be less appealing to my family.
That is NOT THE CASE with these!! My husband gobbled the first one he tried down with a grin. My daughter did as well.

Better than pooptarts

Everyone in my house loves poptarts (pooptarts as I call them since they're not very good for you) so I decided to try these. They're really good! I've always thought that poptarts have too much filling and not enough crust. I like a 40%-60% ratio of filling to crust. These are perfect. We love them!

Better than Pop Tarts!

I love these. They make a great little treat and honestly I like them better than traditional Pop Tarts! They still satisfy the sweet tooth without that chemical/artificial taste that you get from regular pop tarts.

Delicious alternative to Pop Tarts

I love these as a more healthful alternative to Pop Tarts! I find these very sweet, which is exactly what I want if I'm in the mood for Pop Tarts, but I can still taste the flavor of the fruit. Great alternative!

- Nicole

healthy pop tart

I buy these locally but thrive has good price in a pinch. I love the healthy alternative to the old pop tart
