Since 1983, the Sumarroca family has produced fresh, food-friendly wines in Penedès, a region in northeastern Spain regarded as the birthplace of cava. Bodegues Sumarroca has made a commitment to farming organically and sustainably over the last decade. The winery produces its own organic compost, never treats its crops with chemicals, and uses minimal sulfur dioxide in the winemaking process.
