About This Brand

Actively cultivating beauty. Our HistoryIt all goes back to 1921 and something called anthroposophy. This movement, stemming from the teachings of philosopher Dr. Rudolf Steiner, encourages the individual to see his or her body, mind and spirit as intrinsically linked to our world; all part of one holistic system. And so Steiner, along with Dr. Ita Wegman, got together with a team of dedicated scientists and doctors to determine just how they might use this philosophy to take care of their patients’ needs. They understood that a human body has a remarkable ability to heal itself, but sometimes it needs a little help. So they developed a personal approach to health care using natural ingredients that can holistically work with and support our own body’s healing tendencies. They started by creating one of the world’s first Biodynamic gardens to grow what they needed. Sound new agey? It’s actually old agey—what cultures around the world have done successfully for generations. It was...

Weleda Skin Food

The BEST, healing lotion ever! Can't do without it

- elaine lehman

Nourishing and Effective

I have dry, sensitive skin-face and body, I've only been using Skin Food for less than a week and my skin loves it. It absorbs nicely and doesn't leave me feeling greasy. I can even layer a thin bit of Vaseline over it at night, like I do with all my moisturizers. It has a distinctive but nice , natural fragrance that doesn't irritate me one bit and my husband loves the scent too. Within a few days of use, with proper cleansing of course, my face is softer and my dry patches are non-existent. Skin Food is officially a new favorite, can't wait to try a few other Weleda products.

Yum!

O.M.Geeee! This stuff is amazing! It smells delicious, a little goes a long way, and its deeply penetrating hydration does wonder for ashy elbows and knees! I love it!

BEST HAND CREAM EVER

Seriously. Your skin just drinks in this goodness and you actually feel moisturized. Amazing! Must try!

For face or anywhere else that's too dry

I mostly use this on my face at night or around my nose if I've been sniffley from allergies or a cold. Nice thick lotion, great smell. A little heavy for daytime but if my skin is dry enough, I will dab it on for extra protection during the day.

the best stuff in the universe

I work in a kitchen, so I wash my hands close to 50+ times a day. My skin would peel off my bones if it wasn't for this stuff. And I love getting it at a discount from Thrive!

Excellent!

Best hand cream I've ever used. Very healing for chapped hands. Only hand cream I use, and I've tried several.

Amazing Stuff

This is a very thick, emollient lotion. It's for very dry skin and works wonders when used regularly. I noticed too that once you've healed the cracked skin, you can use it every few days with the same results! The light scent is very very nice. I wish I could describe it. It's like walking through a garden but less flowery. Just perfect.

Nourished skin

I love, love, love this product!

Living in the frigid northeast, Skin Food is the only thing that keeps my skin happy throughout the dry, brutal winter.

We also love Weleda's baby products for the little ones.

Definitely one of the purest skin care brands out there and now at a crazy good price thanks to Thrive. :)

- Happy Mama

Does what it says

It's not even winter yet and I've already had terribly dry hands and legs. The typical creams don't seem to help for long. I tried this cream in desparation, and it's really brought me relief! My hands have been a lot happier. Good stuff!
